*Luke's POV*

I know her. That was all I could think of. She was that poor girl that I found in the log cabin that day when I was out camping. The only reason I had been out that far in the woods was because I was camping, okay I wasn't exactly camping.

At the time my idiotic younger brother had gotten himself tangled up in the drug business I was helping him dispose of the drugs. So I couldn't exactly call the cops when I found her because then that would mean the cops would most likely do a search of the area, find the drugs and my brother would get busted, so I left a anonymous report which then lead to the seize of the cabin. But how did she end up here at Freshwater of all places? Was it from traumatic memory's of those months or was it something else? She was the one I risked my life for to save which I don't exactly know why I did such a thing for someone I didn't even know.

Why out of all the hospitals did it have to be this one.

"Luke?" Dr. Cane called out to me snapping me out of my thoughts.

"Yes Dr. Cane?" I responded not quit sure what to call him, he is one of the doctors that have been working here the longest I don't want to cause any disrespect because that could get me kicked out of the internship. He chuckles in response.

"Oh please, call me Matthew no one has called me that sense I was married" he said giving me a genuine smile "anyway I hope you didn't get startled back there, stuff like that almost never happens. But if stuff like that doesn't agree with you, your best bet is to stop the internship" he laughs as he walks away. I then realize that he must of been joking and I quickly follow him down the hallway.

"Oh no worries I'm fine, and I was meaning to ask you something Matthew" I say still getting used to calling him that. It was weird considering if you called one of your professors by their first names you would get in trouble. I guess Matthew was more laid back and I must say I admired that about him. Matthew wore his necessary scrubs but he wore a very colourful full scrub cap which was usually tucked into his breast pocket which gave him a charismatic feel along with the scruff he had as facial hair.

"Oh well fire away" he said casually.

"Well, um, who was that, the girl that started to freak out?" realizing how awful that sounded I grimaced. I of course already knew the answer, I just want to know who she is. This has been eating away at me for so long, to put a name to the face that has been haunting me all summer long, everyone around me noticed it too, my family, my friends even my girlfriend. All my family just suspected that I was in a fight with my girlfriend or my friends or something like that but didn't bother to ask because it wasn't their business. But my girlfriend Vanessa, she totally asked about it.

"Alright dude I'll talk to you later"

"Alright man" I said to Jackson as he dropped me off at Vanessa's house. I patted him on the back and he drove off in his Chevy pickup truck with Andrew our other friend. I had been staying at Vanessa's house all summer because her parents where down south with family but she didn't want to go because she had a job here and couldn't get the time off.

I had been out with my friends for my 21st birthday and we had gone to a strip club downtown. We told Vanessa that we where just going out to a bar and then went over to Andrews house because I knew Vanessa would never let me go to strip club. Me and Andrew had gotten a little waisted but Jackson hadn't drank anything because he was our driver and  that he was diabetic so he didn't drink.
