I stand there staring for a long time. Just taking it in. The blackness that surrounds the city.

Originally I figured it was some sort of smoke or dense fog but now upclose I realize that it is just a pit of nothing. Just as if someone cropped out the rest of the picture and nothing is left but blank, black, endless expanse of space.

Its a bit terrifying really. Especially since I can turn around and see the other ends of the city that fall off into this abyss. Its like I'm living in a bubble that is slowly constricting slowly killing me.

I kick a rock into it and it just disappears no noise, nothing. I reach up my hand and slowly dip it in. It feels cold on the other side. But yet warm somehow.

Then I feel something grab my hand and try to pull me in. I fall back and yank my hand away. I breathe heavily and look at my hand. Its fine. Im fine. I look at the soace my hand just was and a light is shining in the blackness. It slowly dies out however and the ground quakes as the abyss advances. I run back into the middle of the city. There is no more buildings to fall and eventually the walls stop closing in.

Another 10 feet gone. Not much left to go. I shake with fear as I think about what will happen when the final bit of space gets eaten away.

What will happen to me?

I take a deep breath and try to shake the thoughts away. Even if the bubble shrinks like this everyday I still have a good month left.

It will be fine.

A/n so my lovelies this story is soon going to be rolling to its end. Brace yourselves.
