Chapter 7

When I wake up I am covered in a coat of dust. I wipe away the thick wet feeling dust. I open my eyes and see a giant chuck of concrete inches from my face. I scramble away creating a flurry of white dust.

I look around and the city is in ruin. I look forward and see the car crash uneffected sitting almost glowing down the street. I look behind me and see the black wall of nothing just a few blocks away.

It must have consumed over half the city that was left when I got knocked out. Whats left isnt much. All the buildings I see are crumbled or knocked over. I walk down the street dusting myself off as I walk.

I walk past the crash and continue and a few blocks down thats when I see it. The apartment with the light on. The only building still standing with only one room illuminated the others blacked out.

I walk up to the tall building it too seems uneffected I reach for the door but stop when I hear something. A beeping noise a slow steady barely there. I turn around and look fown the streets but nothing moves no sign of where it comes from.

I shrug it off and walk into the apartment building. I go up in the elevator I don't want to wait any longer.

I grip the railing and a weird feeling washes over me as the doors open. I get walk down the hall and grip the wall for support when it feels like its starting to tilt.

"Come on this way this way. Here it is."

I whip my head towards the door the voice came from. All this time never could I hear them really say words. I try the knob and groan in frustration when it is locked. I kick it angrilly and pace a moment trying to figure out what to do.

I'm just a little guy I can't break it down. I kick it again and yell in anger. I start to walk away when the door swings open.

"Wait wait close your eyes! Its a suprise!"

"Who are you?" I whisper to myself as I walk past the threshold.
