It's really short sorry guys, but life has been hectic haha. The next chapter is way longer and not a filler chapter :)

Upon arriving back at the harbor, Angus was attached to Evelyn like glue. He made sure to always be holding her in some way, most of the time it was holding her hand. He gripped tightly, these structures surrounding him so foreign yet so familiar at the same time. Gone was the clean, fresh air Angus grew to know and love as it was replaced by musty, unsettling gasses from cars, pollution and buildings. He didn't love it, but he wasn't repulsed by it either.

Angus couldn't believe his eyes. Everything he saw was different to his home. First, there was the ship he stayed on for a night, then there was this thing they called a car in which he was currently sitting in now. Looking through the transparent barrier separating him from the world, his eyes took in everything before him in awe but he kept his face blank.

As someone drove them, he held onto Evelyn's hand that was resting in his lap, and she would notify him on what things were, like buildings, as she absent mindly played with his fingers. It provided a sense of calm in him and he was thankful for the peace of mind she provided in the crazy thing they call civilization. He was fascinated, this place had buildings that was the size of twenty of his homes stacked on top of each other made of some weird looking materials.

People were everywhere and that's what caught his attention most, the different varieties, and they were everywhere. There were tall people, short people, fat people, skinny people, some men who looked jacked up with muscle, but some who were so scrawny he wondered how they'd survived for so long. There was long hair, short hair and even some males with long hair, however no man's was longer than his. Predominantly, they were whitish tan colour, however he noticed in fascination that some had darker skin, black or brown where as some people were so white that without an ounce of sun exposure on their skin Gus was slightly concerned. Angus loved the colors, the variety of people yet somehow, someway, he ended up with Evy, the most beautiful girl in, what they call, the streets.

Angus kept repeating in his mind that was they were driving through is called the city, assuming it was an important term, like someone's name. It was like the opposite of his jungle, but at the same time they were the same. Both had tall objects towering up in the sky and both had a hard ground. Angus' jungle was filled with pure nature, however in this city there were singular, small trees planted on the ground at the sides of the busy road.

Slowly, the grounds merged from large obstructing buildings into smaller, single story houses with a front yard and garden beads, then eventually evened out into farming land. Large green and yellow paddocks was all that could be seen for miles, and even though it had only been two weeks, Evelyn had missed the familiar scenery. She watched as they passed the Scotts, their neighbors that lived a 5 minute car ride away from her house and felt herself growing more and more anxious.

"Are you okay?" Evelyn asked Gus, her hand squeezing his to catch his attention that had otherwise been occupied. She had watched him staring out the window, a passive look in his face not giving away much emotion, if any. Her stomach had knotted a long time ago, assuming he hated it. It was too different to what he was used to and he was already regretting his decision. Evelyn bit her lip as she looked at him with wide eyes, almost pleading Angus to find it in him to give her home a chance now that he was practically stuck here.

Even sitting down next to him, he still was taller then her by quite a ways. His hair was pulled into a low bun again and Evelyn had forced him to put a shirt on, much to his distaste. The simple, black tee shirt hung loosely off his strong body, his tanned arms holding her hand. He returned the squeeze and smiled down at her momentarily, a loving look in his eyes. A small weight was lift off her chest from the look. His face may be passive, but his eyes always deceived him and showed the thoughts he was thinking.

"It, different." He said. "For Evy, I like it." Evelyn couldn't help the smile forming on her lips as she fell to the side, her body snuggling into his as she sighed in relief. All of the sudden, she felt his body stiffen. He sat taller in his seat and moved an arm protectively around her shoulder, pulling her further into his body. He grunted at the seat belt restricting him to his position and hastily unbuckled it. His eyebrows were pulled down in a frown, his lips tightly pulled together as his eyes hardened, an emotion flooding them that Evelyn couldn't place.

"Hey, what's wrong?" Evelyn asked, concerned about his change in posture so suddenly.

"Animal." Angus said, eyeing up a pack of twenty animals littered in the fields. They were close together in a pack, eating the green grass and looked innocent but Angus didn't know how vicious they could react. A small giggle snapped his attention from the foreign animals, anger inside him flaring. Why was Evy laughing in a potential dangerous situation?

"Angus, they're called sheep."

He frowned, not understanding what she meant by that. In his jungle, any animal that held size to its frame was a threat. They were violent in nature much like the marozi and attacked whenever they felt to be in danger. Why would it be any different here?

"Here, let me show you something." Evelyn said, pulling away from Angus to retrieve her phone. "These are the animals we own on our property." She said, her fingers gliding over the touch screen on her iPhone, googling images of animals they owned. "All of them are like sheep, they stand and eat food all day and don't care if people are around. They will be safe, not dangerous." She curled back into his body once again to his relief and scrolled though the phone showing him images.

Dogs, sheep, cows and cats were all shown to him within the space of the five minute drive, and he even saw a moving, talking picture of dogs being clumsy on this thing called YouTube. By the time they were pulling into the driveway, the pair didn't even realize they had arrived at Evelyn's house and their stomachs hurt from the excessive laughing.
