Never Gonna Leave This Bed

*Alli's POV*

I'm walk down endless alleys, autumn leaves crunching under my bare feet. The streetlights were on, glowing in the darkness yet none of the apartment lights were on. I walk down the empty street, no one in sight. Cars were parked on the side of the rode, headlights on, no owner near by. The cold wind picks up, making the dry leaves squirl around my ankles. I hug myself, trying to keep in my last ounces of heat. The air around me was getting colder and colder by the second. The leaves below me turn to ice as the lights dim. I quicken my pace and the streetlights shatter. I run down the street, the cars turning off as I pass them. My body stops, like it hit some imaginary wall. I look up to see a dull Stark Building. The windows were all shattered. I walk into the building and see Happy laying on the couch in the mail room. I laugh, knowing it was something he would do. I get in the elevator and press the top button. The elevator is faster than normal, a lot faster. I grab one of the rails, hanging on for dear life. It stops and I go flying out the doors as soon as they open. I stumble, falling to the floor. I look up and see Rhodey, laying on the couch, his drink all over the floor. I walk over to him, maybe he'll have some answers.

"Rhodey," I whisper. Nothing. I poke him. Nothing. I shake him lightly. Nothing.

"Dammit Rhodey," I whisper. I push him over so that he's facing up. I back up at the sight of him, falling over the coffee table.

"Rhodey?" I whisper to his lifeless body. His white, button-up shirt stained with his own blood. Gashes on his face, dripping blood onto the floor. I crawl over to him and take his cold hand in mine. Tears fall from my cheeks onto our hands, hot against his cold hands. I look down the hallway and see a light on.

"Tony," I whisper into the dry air. I let Rhodey's hand go and close his eyes. I kiss his cheek one last time before I take the gun strapped on how hip and head down the hallway. All I hear is dripping getting louder and louder as I get further down the narrow hall. I see the figure of a person, stabbed into the wall. My breathing hitches as I realize who it is. I kneel down, gun still in hand, and look at the body. His ice blue eyes stare at me, just how I remembered. I pull his blonde hair out of his face, tucking it behind his ear. His hair too long, just how I remembered. I smile at the boy, only 19.

"You really need a hair cut Jack," I whisper. Hot tears falling down my face. I close his beautiful eyes and look at my loving brother. The brother I lost years ago.

"I love you Jack," I say, before standing up and walking down the hallway. Tears still falling to the ground. I grip the gun tightly causing my knuckles to turn white. I look in the next room and see someone sitting on the couch. I walk into the room and walk across the room to face the stranger. I look at them and immediately loosen my grip on the gun.

"Mom," I whisper.

"What the hell is going on?" I say to myself.

"Someone is killing everyone I love." I mumble, not even loud enough to hear myself.

'Except one.' Whispers a voice in my head. I look up.

"Tony," I whisper. I run out the door, without a second look at my loving mother. I wander down the hallways, trying to remember where Tony's room is. I get to the end of a hallway and know that it was the one. I open the door slowly, the gun out in front of me. The door opens and I immediately drop the gun and run over to Tony.

"No, no, no!" I scream, trying to wake up a lifeless Tony. His handsome face smashed into the ground. I hold him in my arms and watch his warm, chocolate eyes slowly turn cold. I quickly pull out the knife stabbed into his chest, hoping for one last second of life. Tony coughs and I look at him in shock. He looks up at me.

"You shouldn't be here." He scolds me. We both look at the door as footsteps fill the room.

"Get behind me." Tony tells me, standing up. He holds his side and just looking at him I knew he didn't have much longer.

"Tony," I whisper. He turns around facing me with sad eyes. Tony limps over to me and I look at him, ready to say goodbye. I open my mouth to speak, but Tony crashes his lips on mine. I tug on his shirt pulling him closer before he pulled away. His eyes warm again. He moves in front of me as the murderer walks into the room, grabbing my gun off the ground. He looks at me and I gasp.

"Dad." I whisper, before he aims and pulls the trigger. Tony looks at me one last time, before the bullet goes straight through his head.

"Tony!" I scream as he falls to his knees. I look up at my Father, his face burning. He closes his eyes and when they open they aren't his. I look into the monster's eyes.

"Miss me sweetheart?" He asks. His voice making me flinch as I remember every moment of pain coming from him.

"Brent." I whisper as he point the gun at me and pulls the trigger.

I gasp as I sit up. I look around my hospital room and see Tony sleeping in the chair next to my bed. I smile, knowing it was all just a dream. No, a nightmare. I look at Tony and see him gripping to the chair. Small whimpers escaping his mouth. Tony's having a nightmare? I should have guessed. I was so busy trying to save myself that I didn't stop and think about how all of this is affecting Tony. He's lost everything, his girlfriend forgot about him, his best friend loves his girlfriend, and I thought he was alright. He needs to be saved more than I do right now. He just needs someone to love him. I stand up and walk over to Tony. I lightly shake him and his eyes snap open. He looks around the room trying to catch his breath. He looks at me with his big, brown eyes. I hug him tightly, his head resting on my chest. I kiss the top of his head as he wraps his arms around my waist protectively. I let him go and he looks down.

"Go back to sleep Alli." He whispers, still looking down.

"Not without you." I reply, slipping my hand in his slowly. Each finger fitting perfectly together. He looks up and smiles. I let go of his hand and lay down in my bed. Tony gets up and lays down next to me. I rest me head on his chest, curling up in his side. He wraps his arms around me, pulling me closer.

"So fall down. I need you to trust me. Go easy, don't rush me. Help me out, why don't you help me out? Wake you up in the middle of the night to say, I will never walk away again. I'm never gonna leave this bed." He sings softly in my ear. I smile into his chest and drift to sleep to the sound of his voice.

*Rhodey's POV*

I walk down the hall to Alli's room. Hopefully, she doesn't actually remember. I mean yeah, it hurts to see Tony so sad, but I'm in love with Alli and I deserve her not him. I enter Alli's room and break down at the sight of Alli and Tony together. She's mine. I walk over to Tony and and pull him off Alli. He lands on the floor and slowly sits up, rubbing his head. He looks up at me confused.

"What the hell Rhodey? He asks.

"She's my girlfriend." I spit at him.

"She never was yours Rhodey." Tony tells me. I glare at him.

"I can't believe I used to call you my best friend." I say venomously, before walking out the door. I walk down the hallway, my anger rising dangerously high. I make it out of the hospital, into the busy sidewalks if New York. The sunlight burns off the buildings. I walk down the sidewalk I stop at an in front of an alley to check my phone.

"Well, well, James Rhodes. We meet again." A voice behind me says and I know exactly who's voice it is. I turn around slowly and face a monster.

"Brent."
