Thanks for the Memories

*Tony's POV*

I had to get out of there. Something's wrong with Rhodey. Lying to Alli about her amnesia is not him. So here I am, walking down hospital hallways to talk to my only friend, Belle, the woman at the front desk. My life is really going down hill. Belle smiles at me as I enter the empty waiting room. I grab a chair and walk over to the front desk. I set the chair down and collapse in my sorrows.

"Didn't go so well hun?" Belle asks me, fixing her reading glasses. 

"Not exactly." I reply, looking down at my feet.

"What's wrong honey?" She asks me, putting a hand on my knee.

"I'm just no good for her." I tell her honestly.

"Anthony Edward Stark, if you are one thing you are good." Belle states, taking off her glasses. 

"But my life's a mess." I say looking at her. 

"Tony, every guy needs a girl when his life's a mess because just like a game of chess the queen protects the king." She tells me. 

"Yeah, I guess." I say. I search my pockets for the picture of Alli and I holding hands. I pat my front pockets and check my back ones. I check my jacket, nothing. 

"What's wrong?" Belle asks.

"I can't find my picture." I tell her. 

"I had it before I went to..." I trail off, before running down the hall. I was almost there when I bumped into something.

"I'm sorry... oh it's just you Tony." Someone says. I look up and see Rhodey. 

"Nice to see you too." I say. 

"What are you doing?" He asks.

"Just going to see Alli. Does she remember anything?" I say, stumbling over words.

"Of course not, really Tony anything you do in life is insignificant. I mean look at your life, you tried your hardest and look at where you are now. Back at the start." He answers. 

"I don't need this. I don't know what happened. I think maybe Alli loving you has  gotten to your head, but she'll never love you the way you want her to because those memories of Alli and I will still be in that pretty little head of hers." I tell him before walking away. 

*Alli's POV *

I love you.

So you're an iron man fan?

I have all day.

Hey, its all right I wont leave you and I promise to never hurt you.

I'll be your Knight who rights for justice and you'll be my girlfriend.

So now I'm funny and sexy? this is just a good day for me.

I'll never leave you alone, ever.

You deserve so much better than the screw up.

No, because of someone leaves a finger on her I will do everything in my power to protect her even if it kills me.

Alli, Alli, Alli. Someone whispers in my ear. I shoot up breathing heavy I'm drenched in sweat.

I remember.

*Tony's POV*

I enter Alli's room to find her whimpering and tossing and turning. I run over to her and start shaking her, whispering Alli in her ear. she should up. breathing heavy and drenched in sweat. I look at her in confusion wondering what just happened. a bad dream maybe nightmare? I don't know and it's killing me that I don't know this Alli. 

"Alli are you okay?" I ask her softly. 

"I don't know." She tells me, looking at the ground. I place my hand on her's and she intertwines our fingers slowly. 

"Do you want to talk about it?" I ask, raising an eyebrow at her. 

"How am I supposed to explain something when I don't really understand it myself?" She whispers, I squeeze her hand understandingly. 

"Rhodey told me that you still don't remember. I don't care how long it takes, I know you will remember one day. And even if it takes a lifetime, I'll be right here waiting. Because I love you Alli Frost." I say, before standing up and turning to leave.

"Do you love me to infinity and beyond Tony?" I hear Alli ask before I open the door. I turn around and stare at her.

"W-what did y-you s-s-say?" I stutter, fumbling over words.

"Tony, I love you too." She tells me getting up from her hospital bed. I stare at her for a second before walking over to her. I look at her ice blue eyes, the eyes I fell in love with on the very first day. I place my hand on her, man have I missed the touch of her skin. I look at her on more time before leaning in and placing my lips on hers. She wraps her arms around my neck tug gin gently on my hair, causing a small moan to escape my mouth. She giggles and I take the chance to slip my tongue in her mouth. She agrees happily. I move my hands to her waist, pulling her closer to me. I back up into the wall, knocking over a lamp in the process, we both laugh before continuing. She pulls me closer by my jacket, deepening the kiss. It was rough and hungry, yet full of love and passion. It was exactly what I've wanted to do to her for the past week. We both pull away. I keep my hands on her waist as she plays with my stubble. Both of us were breathing heavy.

"So did you win the award?" Alli asks, looking up at me with a huge grin on her face.

"Of course I did, Mrs. Stark." I answer, whispering the last part. 

"I like the sound of that." She whispers, never looking away from my eyes. 

"So do I." I tell her, before pulling her in for a hug. She grips my shoulders tightly like she was afraid to let go, but I didn't mind because I felt the same way. 

"I missed you." I whisper into her blonde hair.

"I missed you too." She replies, stroking my hair with her hand.

"Never, do that to me again." I tell her.

"I promise." She States before pulling away.

"By the way, I like this picture." She tells me holding up the missing picture of her and I holding hands.

"That's where it was." I say letting out a sigh of relief.

"Mind if I keep it?" She asks.

"I've got you, that's all I need." I tell her, pulling her in for another kiss. She smiles and I can't help, but get caught up in this moment.
