After about an hour I finally decided to get up. I wasn't going to die..not yet. I needed to find my friends and family. Everything was quieter outside. I plucked up the courage and noiselessly opened the door.
'Hmm' I cautiously stepped out, there was nothing but blood and torn up fabric and furniture. Strange. All of a sudden I was taken by a hard tackle to the ground.
'Ow'
My eyes opened to the unfortunate sight of Caleb...once again.
'We have to stop meeting like this' he smirked.
'Eugh' I pushed him off me.'what was that for anyway?'.
He pointed to a knife in the blank wall directly where I was standing when I stepped out.
'Sorry Emily, I thought you were a zombie' Poppy was with him.
'It's fine'. I started to pace off but Caleb got in my way.
'Emily I really don't think you should go alone'. He stared at me with his round, crystal blue dazzling eyes.
'No' I thought to myself...I couldn't allow it. Poppy viciously wrenched the knife back out from the wall.
'Where are you guys even going?' I questioned.
'Actually we're on our way out of here too, I can't stand it any longer' Caleb sighed, ' I have to admit your idea was better'.
'And I can't stand Alexa anymore' Poppy sniggered.
'Wait a second' I locked my eyes onto the knife 'Poppy where did you get that knife?'
'It's mine' Caleb said.
'What?' I took a step backward. 'Caleb how did you get that....yo- you were the one that stabbed me weren't you?' I stuttered.
He took a step closer.
'Em, why would I do that?'
'BECAUSE YOU CHOPPED MASON UP, YOUR A MONSTER' The disturbing images came flooding back.
'I ONLY DID IT BECAUSE HE STABBED YOU AND I GOT ANGRY' He yelled back.
'What?' I was more confused than ever.
'Guuuyys, this really isn't the time' Poppy panicked.
Caleb and I looked towards the corridor in synchronised timing.
'Crap' My eyes widened at the large number of zombies headed our direction.
'GO GO GO!' Caleb shouted.
We all ran for the steel gates. They were after us, lots of them, more than before. I managed to clamber over first and then Caleb. Poppy was halfway over when one of them grabbed her ankle.
'POPPY!' I screamed, grabbing her in an attempt to pull her over. She kept kicking it until it finally let go and she managed to climb over just in time.
'That could of been bad' Caleb said.
'No kidding' I responded. 'Woah' I gasped at the view, buildings were torn down, some even a charcoal colour from being set on fire, cars turnt over. The sky was still a dull grey colour just like before. We were finally out and it was absolute chaos.
