Chapter 8: The birth of a new generation

Diamond Tiara brutally attacked Applebloom during lunch at Ponyville School, which caused the young Apple to go into labour 2 months early, this almost led to disaster, when Applebloom went into cardiac arrest, whilst having an emergency caesarean section, she also needed to have a tear in her stomach lining repaired, Diamond Tiara was arrested and placed under 24 hour guarded house arrest, by Princess Twilight Sparkle.

I would just like to inform my readers that I have decided to add a tweaked version of Love is in Bloom, for Sweetie Belle's wedding to Button Mash.

Now, let's continue with the story.

Following the recent events of Applebloom being hospitalised by Diamond Tiara, Rainbow Dash and Rarity decided that it was essential that Sweetie Belle and Scootaloo should be kept away from school, just until their foals were born, the young parents-to-be reluctantly agreed. A month after she was arrested by Princess Twilight Sparkle, Diamond Tiara safely delivered her daughter, Ruby Tiara Rich, at Ponyville Hospital's Maternity Unit, she was aided by Nurse Redheart, whilst being surrounded by 4 of Twilight's female Royal Guards and her parents, Filthy Rich and Spoiled Milk Rich, Diamond Tiara's ex-marefriend, Silver Spoon, had ended their relationship, on the same day of Diamond Tiara's cruel attack on Applebloom and her unborn daughter, Saffron Apple-Sparkle. 2 months had passed since Applebloom had been attacked and Diamond Tiara still showed no remorse over her assault on Applebloom, which resulted in the youngest Apple sibling needing an emergency caesarean section and emergency stomach surgery to repair a tear in her stomach, despite having a heart attack during her operation, Applebloom was now back to full health and she was also back to her cheerful and enthusiastic self, however, every time she saw Diamond Tiara, the spoilt Earth Pony dashed off, which Applebloom just ignored, the new mother was just happy that her baby daughter, Saffron Apple-Sparkle, had thankfully suffered no serious problems, despite the fact that the filly had been born 2 months premature and even though she now had a heart condition, Applebloom was recovering very well from the whole ordeal and she was already back at her home on Sweet Apple Acres, helping Granny Smith to jar up Zap Apple jam, for the Apple Family's Zap Apple jam sales, which was vital to the Apple Family, in order to keep their farm business from going under, Filthy Rich, Diamond Tiara's father, had even remained a major shareholder in the Apple's Zap Apple jam business, although, the Apple Family had some difficulty in forgiving Filthy Rich for Diamond Tiara's attack.

It was a very big day in Ponyville, for Sweetie Belle, as she was due to marry Button Mash, who had been staying with Applejack and Rarity at Sweet Apple Acres, on extremely strict orders from Sweetie Belle's older sister, so that he didn't see his bride in her wedding dress before the big day, in the foyer of the Castle of Friendship, which was being used as the wedding venue, this was because Sweetie Belle was heavily pregnant and due to give birth very soon, as were Scootaloo, Rainbow Dash and Princess Twilight Sparkle, this meant that Sweetie Belle's original plan of marrying Button in Canterlot was out of the question, but, thankfully, Prince Flash Sentry and Twilight offered the castle of Friendship as an alternative arrangement a few days after Applebloom was released from Ponyville Hospital. Applejack was busily trotting around the castle's foyer, making sure that Sweetie Belle and Button Mash's wedding guests were seated in their correct seats, Spike was Button's best Dragon and Rarity was Sweetie Belle's Mare of Honour, as Sweetie Belle had been at Rarity's wedding to Applejack. Rarity and Applejack's baby daughter, Juniper, was the ring bearer and she was a very good one, as the toddler was so fascinated by the shiny rings, she didn't want to drop them. Applebloom often joked that her young niece took after her uncle Spike, for liking gem encrusted items. Sweetie Belle's parents, Hondo Flanks and Cookie Crumbles, completely refused to attend their youngest daughter's wedding ceremony, as they still felt that Rarity's marriage to Applejack was a sham and that Rarity had allowed her younger sister to become a slut, this angered Rarity at first, but, Sweetie Belle said that she didn't want them there, as they also didn't want her to keep her unborn daughter, this completely extinguished any chances of the family reconciling. Button Mash had also refused to allow his mother, Milk Dud, to attend, as she was completely dependent on drinking alcohol, Button didn't want anything stressful to happen to Sweetie Belle, which would put his unborn daughter at risk and Button certainly didn't want his alcoholic mother hanging around his baby while she was pissed out of her skull.
