Chapter 16: Thunder's betrayal?

Thunder Aero Storm Dash stole a highly dangerous Improperly diluted and tainted fertility potion from the Castle of Friendship, Lightning Strike Dash and Pumpkin Chiffon Swirl Cup Cake inadvertently impregnated each other, which got Thunder into extreme trouble with Princess Twilight Sparkle. Rainbow Dash's son went too far, as he later joined forces with Lightstarr and his new wife, Queen Mantis, who had disguised herself as Lightning Dust, an ex-Wonderbolt. Lightning Dash was poisoned by her brother who was thrown out of his house by Soarin Skies and finally, Lightning proposed to her marefriend, Pumpkin at Sugarcube Corner.

Now, let's continue with the story.

Three and a half months had now passed since Pumpkin Chiffon Swirl Cake had accepted Lightning Strike Dash's marriage proposal, after she was poisoned by her twin brother, Thunder Aero Storm Dash, Lightning was forced to leave her desk job at the Wonderbolts Academy, until she'd given birth to her baby, on the orders of Princess Twilight Sparkle and her Gynaecologist, Doctor Verdantés Shermann, at Ponyville Hospital, thankfully, Lightning had suffered no serious lasting damage from her very stressful ordeal, the day after she was released from hospital, she sent a thank you card to the 2 mares who saved her life at Monsieur Là Róux's restaurant, Lyra Heartstrings and Bonbon Sweetie Drops Heartstrings, Rainbow Dash also offered to let Lightning's marefriend, Pumpkin Chiffon Swirl Cake, move into Cloud Manor in order for her to be with Lightning and their other unborn foal, which Pumpkin declined at first, because she felt that she was abandoning her parents, Mr. Carrot Cake and Mrs. Chiffon Swirl Cup Cake and her twin brother, Pound Cake, zt Sugarcube Corner, but, after a long talk with them, they were extremely supportive of her and she moved in with Lightning a few days later.

At Cloud Manor, Lightning, who was now heavily pregnant, had begun to grow extremely frustrated that her mother, Rainbow Dash and older sister, Scootaloo, went almost everywhere with her, because Lightning Dust had now declared that she had a personal vendetta against Lightning. Pumpkin and Lightning were both due to give birth any day now and this was the reason that Rainbow Dash was watching her daughter's every move, just in case Lightning suddenly went into labour. One afternoon at Cloud Manor, Rainbow was looking after a disgruntled Storm Dash, Scootaloo and Silver Spoon's young daughter, after the young mare had sprained her wing racing with her grandfather, Soarin Skies, at the Junior Speedsters Flight Camp in Cloudsdale, something that Scootaloo wasn't pleased with her dad about, as she'd told Soarin to keep his eye on her and he'd been showboating to some Wonderbolts fans when Storm hurt herself, Lightning had now noticed that her mother was looking at her every 5 minutes and it was really beginning to piss off the heavily pregnant teen.
"Ok, seriously mom, you're really winding me up now, staring at me all the time, the baby will come when it's ready, plus, it is really creeping me out that you're watching my every move, I'm perfectly fine, I'm a little bit uncomfortable, but 100% a-ok" Lightning snapped.
"I'm sorry Strike, I'm a bit worried your brother's gonna come after you again" Rainbow said.
"Thunder hasn't been seen around Ponyville for a couple of weeks now mom, he's probably gotten bored of his silly grudge and shacked up with that cow, Lightning Dust" Scootaloo said.
"But Lightning Dust isn't a cow, she's a pony mom" Storm said.
"Never mind Storm, honey" Scootaloo said.
"Well, if you really want to stare at something, help me narrow down my list of bridesmares, I've still got 4 to pick" Lightning said.
"Really walked myself into that one, didn't I?" Rainbow asked.
"Yes you did mom" Scootaloo said.
"Have you got Pearl down Strike?" Pumpkin asked.
"Yeah, she's going to be my best mare" replied Lightning.
"The other members of the Cutie Mark Crusaders?" Rainbow asked.
"They're all doing other jobs at the wedding, I definitely want Pound Cake as the ring bearer though babe" Lightning said to her fiancé.
"I asked already him and he said he'd be honoured" Pumpkin said.
"You're running out of choices here auntie Lightning" Storm said, as she popped up excitedly from her seat.
"AAARGH, SCREW IT! Mom, tell the Mane Six they're gonna be the bridesmares, BOOM! That's the wedding sorted" shouted Lightning, she was beginning to get very uncomfortable, she felt some severe cramping in her stomach, Lightning's labour was officially starting.
"Ok, but, there was no need to yell at me Strike, I'm only on the other side of the table" Rainbow said, Pumpkin then noticed her fiancé was breathing heavily, she knew that Lightning was in the early stages of labour.
"Auntie Lightning what's up?" Storm asked.
"Scoots, call the hospital" Rainbow said.
"On it" Scootaloo said, as she darted to the phone.
"Strike, is it the baby?" Pumpkin asked worriedly.
"Mom, you know when I told you that I hated you watching me all the time?" Lightning asked.
"Yeah" Rainbow replied.
"Well, I think I'm in labour" Lightning said panting.
"It could be your Braxton Hicks again" Pumpkin said gently standing next to Lightning.
"Not when my seats soaking wet Pumpkin, my waters have broken" Lightning replied, trying not to push too early.
"I've let the hospital know Lightning's in labour, so we need to go, now before Strike delivers her baby here, like I did with Storm" Scootaloo called, as they headed for the waiting hot-air balloon, which would transport Lightning, Pumpkin, Rainbow and Storm to Ponyville Hospital's Maternity Unit.
