[01] Encounter

Why couldn't things go back to the way they were?

"Yah! It's your fault for always leaving me and Nana alone all these years!"
"It's your fault too, for not being a good mother to her!"
"You're always on business trips and you never stay home for at least a week. Can't you just stay for once and act like a father?"
"No! How would our family live without me working this hard? It's over. I'm leaving."
"Yah! Pabo! Get back here!"

Ever since my parents began to quarrel, nothing has been doing well, or at least I should say for me. Upstairs, locked in my room, that's how I've been living my life so far.

One cut, two cuts, maybe three?

How could I deal with this pain? No one could understand me, no one could understand this feeling.
I just wanted to live a normal life.

The next morning, I arrived at school once again. I walked to my desk to find it scribbled all over with Sharpie.
"Hey guys, it's miss emo.", one of the girls whispered aloud. I couldn't take this anymore, but I didn't want to fight. I remained silent and took a seat.

"Hey, you okay?", a boy said as he tapped my shoulder.
I turned around and saw an unfamiliar face.
"Yeah.", I muttered.
He stepped in front of my desk and began to wipe off the Sharpie, "here, I'll help"
I shake my head and took his hands of my desk.
"I'll clean it, you don't need to help."
He stopped, nodded, and walked out the class. Was he a new student?

The bell rang and our teacher walked in. "Class, we have a new student today!"
Yup, it was that boy again.
"H-hi, my name is Jeon Jungkook.."
"Jungkook, go sit wherever as you please.", the teacher said as she smiled.
The girls smiled and made room for him, but he walked past them. In the end, he took the seat behind me.

"Annyeong chingu [hello friend]", he said softly.
"A-annyeong Jungkook"
I stuttered. I could feel the rest of the girls glaring at me.

I knew I shouldn't have met this Jeon Jungkook.
