WEDDING DAY...

"Bes, gising na..."

Naalimpungatan si Nica sa boses ni Mindy. Nasa mansyon siya at doon natulog dahil wala si Ivan.

It's their wedding day today and she doesn't know what will going to happen.

All are set already, courtesy of Mindy of course. She haven't seen Ivan after the graduation. Hindi rin sila nagkaroon ng pagkakataong makapag-usap tungkol sa pagpapakasal.

Palagi kasi siyang iniiwasan ng lalaki. Siguro'y hihintayin na lamang niya na ang lalaki mismo ang lumapit.

She glanced at the wall clock its too early and Mindy waking her up, now.

"What's the matter with you, Mindy? Goodness, it's too early to wake up. Parang ikaw itong ikakasal." She complained

Mindy climbed up her bed and spread two arms as if she's the only one lying on it.

"Did I disturb the soon to be Mrs Anderson's sleeping?"

"What do you think? The wedding will be 6 in the evening and you wake me up, 5:30 in the morning? Great Allie!"

She reached the pillow and cover it on her face.

"Wow! Bes, did you call me Allie? Did I heard it, right?"

Mindy hold her shoulder and shaking it.

"What's the big deal of calling you, Allie? It's your second name incase you forget. Let me sleep again, Mindy I'm still tired you know."

"Nakaka-amaze lang, for the first time tinawag mo ako sa second name ko, na si kuya lang ang madalas na tumawag sa akin. Don't sleep na bes, aayusan na kita."

Bumalikwas si Nica at tumingin sa kaibigan. Seryosong tinitigan niya ito na ngingisi-ngisi naman. Sino ba kasi ang ikakasal si Mindy o siya? Hindi nga siya nakakaramdam ng excitement mas lamang yata ang kaba sa dibdib.

"Are you out of your mind, Mindy? Did you already check the clock if what time is it now?"

"No need to check bessy, kasasabi mo lang ng oras. So what now? Are you gonna wake up or I will just stay here disturbing you? Choose bessy, I'm waiting!" Mindy said happily.

In her thought, Mindy was a kinda weird sometimes and she doesn't know what's with her today.

"Mindy pwede ba? Bakit ba hindi na lang ikaw ang ikinasal. Kakainis ka alam mo 'yun?"

"Eh, kasi naman bes, I'm so excited for you. Magiging official na kitang sister. Kapag inaway ka ni kuya sabihin mo agad sa akin I will make a resbak for you."

"Luka-luka, umayos ka nga, Mindy. Alam mo naman ang status namin ng kuya mo so please, don't expect too much in this marriage. Hindi pa nga kami nagka-usap ng kuya mo ng pormal na walang bangayan."

Bumangon si Nica at naupo sa kama. She throw a sad glance in her wedding gown that displayed inside the room. She felt nothing but sadness, she'll going to marry a man who doesn't show an interest with her.

What should she expect anyway? When in the first place, their marriage isn't about the feeling of being in love in each other but rather it's all about the wealth.

Marriage consists of two people who feel the same love towards each other. At sa kaso nila ni Ivan, wala ang ganoong damdamin.

"Iniisip mo? Tulala ka diyan?" Mindy interrupted. She shook her head off without looking at her.

"If you worry about kuya's whereabouts, don't be. Darating siya mamaya, kawalan niya kung hindi man siya dumating. What's the important is ikaw ay nandito na naghihintay sa kanya."
