When I woke up, I was in a lumpy bed, much like the ones at school. At first, I thought it was just another boring day at boarding school, and that me being in another world was only a dream. But then, I started to wonder if it really was just a dream. I noticed that I was the only person in the room, and that the whole place looked a LOT more shabbier than the dorms at my school. There was chipped cement walls with no paint, rough stone floors, and one tiny window. Other than the lumpy bed, there was a dusty broken mirror and an old looking wooden closet.
Now that I thought of it, I remember falling asleep on the pavement. Hmm, that's really strange. I know, when you wake up in a strange place, you don't just go wandering around by yourself. But, that's exactly what I did. I remembered how my old teacher always say that curiosity killed the cat, but I still wanted to know what was going on. Finally, I went against my better judgment and stepped out.
My first thought was "AHH! I'm in a dungeon! Help!" The walls were made of a rough stone, just like in the room I woke. Once, when I went on a field trip to the country side to see a castle ruin. The walls in the castle and the walls in the place where I woke looked almost exactly alike. Instead of normal lights, the hall was lit by torches. As I kept walking, my footsteps echoed loudly on the stone.
I stopped in my tracks when I heard a low growl. Panting, whatever it was walked closer to me. Run! Run! My instincts told me. But, I HAD to know what it was. So, I stood there, glued to the floor. Out from the darkness came a fuzzy creature with glowing eyes. It. Was. A. Cat. Wow, I couldn't believe that I got so anxious from a cat. "Meow, urrrr" the orange tabby slowly walked towards me. When I reached out my hand to pet it, it shrieked and whimpered as it backed away from me.
"There you are! You annoying pesky beast!" A voice yelled in a harsh, cruel tone. Quickly, I ducked behind a door. As the voice grew louder, I could make out the shape of a plump old lady. The cranky lady had a pudgy face and dark brown hair pulled into a bun. The olive green dress showed her lumpiness and old-fashion. "Now, go chase some rats and do something productive! Stop wasting my time!" She yelled. Her voice echoed eerily as she scanned the area.
"I can see you there. Come out" she said when she walked closer to my hiding spot. Now that I could see her better, I saw the disgusting black wart on her nose. Gross! Opening the door, she called out "where are you?" When she looked behind the door, she opened it just enough so I can run out. I dashed out into the hall as quickly as I could, back into the room where I woke up.
"ARG! Ugh, I'll get you!" She yelled angrily. I stood my stance as I heard her stomping feet coming closer. Kicking the door open, she yelled "NOBODY BEATS MS. PLUMP!" Oh, so that's her name. Ms. Plump! Ha ha! I laughed my head off on the inside, but on the outside, I had no expression except for a smirk. "Funny name, Ms. Plump. Ha ha ha! The name really fits, since you look like a swollen tomato" I said mockingly. Ms. Plump screamed at me "YOU DARE?!?" I replied calmly "yes". At that, she started steaming, "YOU WILL REGRET IT!" She screamed. "No, I won't. You will regret it".
As she balled her fists and swung them at me, I quickly and easily dodged them. "You can't dodge me forever! Nobody has ever won against me!" Ms. Plump yelled at me. At that remark, I chuckled as her face turned so red that she looked like a exploding volcano. When I said that she looked like a blob of red jelly, she swung her arm to punch me. I sidestepped her punch, but Ms. Plump had too much momentum and her face squashed on the stone floor. When she fell, her whole entire body jiggled.
"We'll, your record is officially broken!" I taunted. "Grrrr, GUARDS! GET THIS ANNOYING B**** AWAY! TAKE HER TO THE COURT!" Ms. Plump yelled. From the corridor came two guards dressed in weird armor. "Yes Ma'am" they grunted. With my hands tied behind my back, I walked up the stone stairs into the courtyard. "Finally, fresh air!" I breathed. "Silence" they grunted. The courtyard was Greek styled. Round marble center with cool designs with Doric columns surrounding it.
Soon, I was in a stone corridor again. Footsteps echoing, I walked into a dome. The top of the dome was made of glass while the walls and floor was made of polished marble. Many different levels of balconies surrounded the dome walls. As I went down the stairs with red velvet carpets, I heard a person walking to my left. However, when I looked, there was no one there. Then again, when I was about to enter the court room, I saw a shadow pass by, but I didn't see anyone. "Strange", this place is giving me the creeps, I mumbled.
The huge rounded wooden door was covered in many elaborate and colorful etchings and paintings. The handles were made of gold and was in a strange, swirly design. When the door creaked open, I saw many people gathered around a curved table, facing an empty chair. The guards guided me to my seat and stood behind me. The court room was pretty big with walls made of a dark wood and painted glass windows.
Many of the people at the curvy table were staring at me, as if they were already judging me. There was five judges, Ms. Plump, and old guy, a guy with lots of knives, a guy in a suit, and a teenage guy. I crossed my arms and bluntly said "So, why am I here? What, are you going to take me to the dungeon?" They all stared with no expression. "Because, if you are, let me tell you. You won't even be able to capture me". At that, they all scribbled something on the clipboard in front of them. "Aren't you going to question me or something?" More scribbling.
"Where are you from?" The old guy asked me. "Finally, a question! And to answer you, I do not know" I replied. They scribbled something, and then asked me for my name. "Ummm, I'm not sure... Look, I just appeared here yesterday and I have no idea about anything. But, I guess you can call me Venassa" I told them. "Hmm, interesting name" one of them mumbled. "So, why were you fighting Ms. Plump? That's against the rules" the guy with the knives asked. "I didn't fight her, she just got mad at me and started to punch me. It was her own fault" I replied. "She insulted me!" Ms. Plump defended. I rolled my eyes. "What? It was just the truth". The four judges wrote more notes, and examined me, then jotted more notes.
"Enough questioning and examining for today. You can go to your new room on floor 3 of building 17. The number is 333" the old guy said. I was escorted out into the courtyard and into an area with many apartments. The building I was lead into was made of a tan painted wooden apartment. It had frosted glass doors and an organized, stylish lobby. It was a shock to see phones, laptops, and elevators after being in such an old fashioned building.
As I walked into the shiny elevator, I couldn't believe all the things that happened on that day. From being a homeless girl to being lead into a fancy room, so much has happened. The hall of the apartment was covered in a fancy carpet. Hanging from the ceiling was a sparkling glass chandler. Grand golden staircases lead up onto the second floor. On the second floor, there was a huge mosaic of a girl with black hair in a flowing white dress. She was standing on a cliff with her hair blown. Mist surrounded the cliff, the girl was looking far away, seeming to stare at the sun.
Just seeing that mosaic, I felt a power surge through me. I could picture the mosaic so clearly. As if I was there, at that time. The girl ran up that cliff, tears streaming down her face. She called out "Aeris! Aeris!" Suddenly there was a bright light and she tried to grab the light, but it disappeared just as quickly as it had appeared. "No" she whispered. "NO!" Now, tears streaked down her face. She knelt down and muttered something. Then, she left after a longing glance at the sky.
The strange and creepy thing was, when the girl turned around, it was my face that I saw.

So, what are your comments? Say why you think she was crying and make a guess on who the girl is. Oh yeah, try to guess what the shadow was.
I'm just curious about heat people think.
Please comment! I want to hear your thoughts. (Even if its bad and offending stuff)
