"GO TO THE GYM ON EAST WING!!!" Extremely loud yelling bursted through the door of my room, snapping me from my daze. I jumped into a fighting stance immediately, to find that same guy standing there looking very irritated.
"I was going to tell you that it's time for the second section of your tests today, apparently some people here seriously don't know how to time manage!" He told me in a very annoyed voice.
"Ok! Got it! Jeez, no need to make such a fuzz"
"Auh?" He mumbled with a puzzled look on his face, clearly not understanding what I said.
Then, my eyes widened when I realized that he had said the exact thing that I was thinking earlier. Wait... That means he can hear what I'm thinking!
"You are really slow" he remarked. For some reason, I didn't think he was talking about not being at the gym for the test, but that I was slow for just realizing that he could hear my thoughts.
"Cuh, what else?" Imitating a girl, he rolled his eyes while flipping his hair.
This guy was seriously getting on my nerves. I stormed off, hoping that I wouldn't have to see that guy again.
When I reached the gym, the door behind me slammed shut with irritation. The new tester was one of the judges from my meeting the day before. Now that I got a better look at him, I noticed that his black leather knife belt was elaborate with golden ink crossing over each other to form a complicated pattern. On the belt were many rare, assorted artisan knives.
"Is that a first edition ebony steel darter knife?" I asked with shock, recognizing the rare weapon.
He raised his head from the stack of papers to respond "I'm surprised that you recognize it. Not many know of it, as for it is one of the rarest knives ever made. And yes, in fact it is a first edition steel darter knife".
I wasn't sure if I should ask, but I really wanted to get a better look of the knife and maybe even try it out. "Can I..."
"Sure, just try not to break it" he said as he placed the knife in my hand.
I flipped the knife over to find an inscription on the back side. "Never give up without a fight" it read in ancient Plaçæn.
The knife flew in a ground arc towards wooden target board in the back of the gym.
Zing- the knife flew in a perfect arc to hit the bullseye of the target. He had a look of shock in his eyes as he followed the knife to see the perfected throw.
"That- that's really good! Well seeing that you are a perfect knife thrower, we don't need to test you on that anymore".
