"Flight three-three-o-seven is now boarding." The loudspeaker announced. That was my plane. I waited in line for quite a few minutes. See, I don't have a lot of patience, especially when i'm in line, so I was all jittery. I kept peaking up to the front of the long line. Finally, I was the first in line. They inspected me and my luggage. I was allowed to have one backpack with me. The rest had to go where it usually goes; under the plane. I was headed with my friends to Mount Olympus. It seemed so unreal. I had been wishing to go there all my life. Sorry, but I am a Greek mythology fan. So were my friends Jessica, Peyton, Paige, Paige's older brother Derek, and Jessica's older sister Molly.
I was the youngest of them, so they all had to take extremely good care of me. If they let anything happen to me, it would mean the end of their world. I was fourteen years old. Jessica was born January of the same year. Peyton was fifteen, born in November. Paige was at the age of fifteen, born in September. Her older brother was a legal adult at the age of nineteen. Molly was only eighteen, though.
Anyways, We got in our seat. Once we started taking off, I unpacked my stuffed animal out of my backpack, and cuddled it tightly. There's this thing for heights for me; I'm scared. Ah! We were in the air, an I took my mind off the fear by pulling out my computer, and putting it on my tray. Listening to music and watching videos helps me relax. Yawn! I used it until four in the morning. I usually don't go to sleep until that time. When I woke up it was two in the afternoon. Most of the time, I wake up at three or four. A few people behind me started talking to me. "You a late sleeper?" A boy whom looked about fifteen or sixteen asked. "Yeah. Do we know each other?" I responded not knowing what else to say.
"Sorry. I'm Percy. This is Annabeth, and-" He put his arm to a girl with blonde hair in a pony tail.
"I can announce myself!" Said. A girl whom looked punk, and had spiky black hair told me she was Thalia. They both also looked fifteen or sixteen. Another boy whom was that age had short, curly brownish hair was Grover. A big giant-sized boy, with huge hands was Percy's brother, Tyson. An eleven year old, hyper boy, with freckles all over his face was Nico De Angelo. "Who are you all?" Percy asked us. We introduced ourselves. He was going to the same place we were. In fact, they planned the same motel as we did. We were planning to stay the summer. We talked a little for the thirty-six hour flight. "Hey, Jaimee, wake up! We're landing!" Jessica told me. I opened my eyes. Grover instructed us not to leave them. We could go places, but don't leave Mount Olympus. Apparently, Percy made that mistake, and it was the 'biggest' mistake of his life. They got the motel room next to ours. I thought that they were kind of annoying in a way. They made me a little bit uncomfortable. It was pretty obvious that they wanted to be friends. I wondered why. Grover needed to talk to us for whatever reason. "Oh, hey. there you are. We seriously needed to talk to you." He said as he let us in his motel room. "Um, okay. what about?" Derek asked. "Sit down, please. Do you know about all the Greek stuff like Gods, Goddesses, monsters-"
"Of course we do! We're big fans of them!" Paige said.
"Well, do you know they are, in fact real?" Percy informed us. "They make kids with mortals."
"Half-bloods which are also demigods! Are they here?" I asked.
"No. They moved to America. There are many monsters and curses trying to keep the Gods and Goddesses from coming back here, though. I'm a satyr. These are all demigods, or half-bloods." Grover was teaching us. He told us that we are one of them. "Really?!?! No way!" I exclaimed. He told me 'Yes way!' They all informed us, and taught us, about all of this. They are on a quest. Grover needed to find us to recruit us. He knew we were coming because of an oracle. The others needed to stop the evil creatures. This was the beginning of our crazy trip.
