*Dakota’s POV*
Poor Lucy. I fall in Elijah embrace. He holds me close.
“Let’s get out of here.” Elijah whispers in my ear. I nod and he picks me up, carrying me out to the car. He drives for a while and we end up at a beach house. We go and sit out on the beach. “Kota, I’m so sorry about Damon.” Elijah whispers to me.
“So am I. I feel so horrible for Lucy. She’s probably taking it really hard. She has crazy ways of dealing with heartache. Last time she ate only rice for weeks. It was crazy.” I tell him. He nods. I wipe away my tears. I stand up and hold a hand to Elijah. He takes it and I pull him up. We walk down the beach in the sand.
“Do you want to play 10 questions?” Elijah asks randomly.
“I’d love to.” I giggle, sitting down where the water can just barely touch my bare feet.
“Okay so I’ll ask you first.” Elijah offers.
“Deal.” I grin.
(A/N: E is Elijah and D is Dakota. I just thought it'd be easier this way.)
E: “How old are you?”
D: “19.”
E: “Favorite color?”
D: “ Purple.”
E: “Lucky number?”
D: “13.”
E: “Favorite animal, food, and country?”
D: “That’s three questions mister and basset hounds and cats, Kendra’s chocolate chip pancake biscuits, and Ireland or the U.S.”
E: “Pancake biscuits?”
D: “A pancake that is somehow formed into the shape of a biscuit and I count that as a question.”
E: “Weirdo and what’s your favorite superhero?”
D: “Oh definitely Batman!”
E: “Oh I’m all Superman! Um…favorite hobby?”
D: “Oh my gosh, Sky is obsessed with Superman and I mean it! And definitely writing.”
E: “Final question…do you love me?”
D: “Honestly…yes I do. I have for a while.”
E: “I love you too.”
D: *blushes* “Now it’s my turn to ask questions.” *laughs mischievously*
E: “Shoot.”
D: “Favorite color?”
E: “Green.”
D: “How old are you?”
E: “Really?”
D: “Really, now answer the question.”
E: “1013.” *blushes*
D: “Next question. Favorite place in the world?”
E: “Most definitely Australia.”
D: “Um…favorite human food?”
E: “Pizza!”
D: “Someone’s excited. Favorite song.”
E: “All I need by: Within Temptation.”
D: “I love that song! Umm...favorite memory.”
E: “Not to sound corny, but meeting you.”
D: “That sound really corny.”
E: “Why thank you, m’lady.” *fake bows*
D: “I’m in love with a weirdo.” *rolls eyes*
E: “A corny weirdo.”
D: *giggles* “Um…favorite book.”
E: “Dark Life by: Kat Falls.”
D: “There’s a sequel called Rip Tide. It’s good. Anyways who’s your best friend besides me.”
E: “Sky or Kendra. Kenzi is always with Stefan and he’s protective. Klaus won’t let me near Izzy a lot and Lucy…well don’t tell her this, but she just plain scares me.”
D: *bursts out laughing, rolling around* “I promise I won’t tell, but that’s hilarious.”
E: “Go ahead laugh it up.”
D: “I’m done. Favorite band.”
E: “ACDC!”
D: “Love them! And final question…why are you scared of Lucy.”
E: “Not this question! Anything else, please!”
D: “Nope! Answer!”
E: “Oh fine. Well when I first met her she had this look on her face that startled me. So I tried talking to her, but she tackled me and started shouting at me. It was crazy. She’s just scaring and I’m a thousand year old vampire. I’ve seen some scary stuff, but she takes the prize for being the scariest thing I’ve ever seen.”
“You’re so weird.” I roll my eyes at Elijah and he just chuckles.
“But you love me.” He points out.
“That I do.” I giggle. He leans over slowly and pecks my lips before standing up.
“Shall we go inside for hot chocolate and movies?” Elijah asks me.
“We shall.” I return in a posh accent. After a long night, we head to bed.
“I love you.” We whisper before we both fall asleep. This is the start of something good.
