"Who's this?" Caroline the brat blurted.
"Not now," Ringo glanced at her and then approached Alison.
He looked into her eyes reassuringly, "this isn't what it seems."
"You were going to kiss her."
"Let me explain!" Ringo softly exclaimed and held out his hand. Cautiously, Alison took Ringo's hand and they walked. They didn't plan to go anywhere, they just walked.
"I don't love Caroline y'know," Ringo giggled and quickly looked behind at the idiot, feeling sorry for herself.
"It's not funny Ringo."
"I'm sorry," he looked down. Alison smiled and took his hand again.
"The notes, clever." She laughed
"Thanks," he smiled softly, "I just want you back. Whenever I see you with John I die a little inside."
Alison's heart fluttered and felt Ringo's pain, "why didn't you tell me that you loved me in the first place?"
"Well, I've been in love before and she broke my heart," a small tear droplet slowly trickles down his rosy cheek, "I just wanted to make sure."
Alison goes to hug Ringo but he shrugs her off, "I'm okay."
"Oh sorry."
Silence filled the air for a while as they both opened a gate. To Strawberry Fields. "Do you come here often?" Alison smiled.
"When I feel sad I do but that's only once every few months are something." He brushes his hands against the tall grass that guided the way to the main tree. In the distance was the cafe and the nursery.
"This is a mess Ringo," Alison laughs at herself.
"I know, that's why we need to clear it up. Today."
"It wasn't intentional, I felt forced in a way." Alison laughs through her tears. Ringo holds her hand firmly and doesn't let go.
"John was lovely, he made me feel special and I love him."
"I know," Ringo felt like he was being picked up and scrunched into a ball.
"But I love you." Alison turned around.
