The school gate opened and a wave of excited pupils flurried out. Amongst the pack, Alison and Ringo were deep in conversation. "Fancy coming to the boardwalk with me tonight?" Ringo smiled "It'll be a laugh." Alison thought and then realised something "But my mu.." She suddenly saw Ringo looking at her in a way she had never seen before and changed her mind. "Sure. Let's go now." They shared a grinning look at each other and changed direction towards the beach.
"I hate sand," moaned Ringo whilst taking his shoes off.
"Me too," Alison laughed and then struggled to take her's off.
"Please, let me." Ringo smiled and held Alison's hand to keep her balance whilst carefully removing her shoes. She always liked those shoes, probably because they were the most valuable thing she had. Ringo handed them to Alison and she placed them in her satchel. "Where shall we go?" Asked Ringo as he stood up on a bench, trying to get a better view of the whole Boardwalk. "Let's go for a walk, see what we find." Alison walked on and Ringo quickly followed. Soon enough they were side by side. "Wow!" Alison gasped "The sea looks beautiful today."
"Doesn't it just?" Ringo pulled out something from his bag.
"What's that?" Alison enquired, studying what Ringo was holding,
"It's a camera." Explained Ringo, "You look through a hole and then click this button." Ringo took multiple shots of the sea.
"Nice!" Exclaimed Alison, "Can I have a go?"
"Sure," Ringo handed it to Alison and she took some photos. "Very good, you have an eye for a good photo," Ringo winked, "Let me take one of you."
Alison stood with her back facing the sea, showing off her beautiful face to the camera. Ringo was so stunned he forgot to click the button. They walked on and on. Bit by bit Ringo slowly locked his arm into Alison's. "Is that okay?" He asked
"Yes it's just fine" she smiled and then pointed to a shop, "Let's get an ice cream" she grinned excitedly and they walked into the shop. "I'll pay." Suggested Ringo
They returned with two ice creams with a flake sticking out the top. They joked on, "You are a good poser," Ringo smirked
"Oh yeah?" Alison lightly stuck her ice cream into Ringo's cheek, "Very fetching" she giggled. Ringo did the same to Alison. She screamed in hysterics. And they slowly came to a halt. Ringo lifted his arm and wrapped them around Alison. "Are you alright with thi.." Ringo was asking before Alison place her lip on his finger
"Shh" she whispered and leaned in for a kiss. They stood, arm in arm for minutes until they had no breath. No words were spoken. They just walked back along the boardwalk, hand in hand.
