one—

the sun came up slowly, letting park jimin sleep longer than intended yet benefitting him anyways. it wasn't a work day, in fact it was a saturday, but he didn't want to get up late and a certain someone get mad at him for being what he called lazy and stupid.

but the cocoon of the bed and the sheets that enveloped him only made him burrow his face into the pillow below him, breathing in the fresh scent of the detergent used in the wash. he really didn't want to get up and leave the super comfortable bed he was already laying in.

but he knew that he had to.

his eyes opened slowly, but they quickly shut again due to the blinding light coming through the windows. of course he squeezed his eyes closed tight, but then he tried once again to open his eyes and wake himself up to prepare for the day.

he rose to a sitting position and stretched his arms over his head, yawning as sleep began to slip out of his system. the man pushed the covers to the side and slid off of the comfortable mattress, stumbling a bit and ears ringing as the blood rushed through his body.

he went to the bathroom and rubbed his eyes slowly with drowsiness. a thump sounded into the air as he leaned back against the wall.

despite his sleepiness, he was still very tired. exhausted maybe. mentally that is.

the past few days of working hard to keep his... roommate, content and avoid the insults that followed had begun taking its toll on him. plus, his job was hard and he didn't understand why his roommate was being this way so suddenly. it wasn't like he did something wrong was it? he had been staying out of the way for as long as he could remember, so he didn't really understand his roommates sudden change in attitude.

but it wasn't like it was the first time he had been this way. in fact, ever since his roommate moved in with him a little over six months ago, he seems a lot less... nice to jimin now. if anything greedy and ungrateful.

he didn't appreciate that jimin left dinner out for him, but never ate it because he came home late and sometimes not at all. he didn't appreciate how jimin still continued to smile around him despite how he would verbally abuse him, thus lowering jimins once bursting confidence.

jimin knew there had to be a reason and he let his thoughts get to him sometimes. that his roommate was just using him. that hoseok was just using him for the hospitality and the roof over his head.

that hoseok didn't love him anymore.

that was jimin's biggest fear, never being loved or appreciated for who he was. but he also knew that all of these ideas could just be his mind wandering in the wrong direction. the thought had never left his mind though, continuing to gnaw at him deep down.

because if it was true, that hoseok didn't love him anymore, or didn't in the first place, there had been signs. of course jimin tried his hardest to ignore them, telling himself to stay positive, but it hurt because they were too obvious. alcohol hidden in the cabinet above the fridge, people labeled in his contacts with couple names other than him, a lingerie under the bed.

jimin stared at himself in the mirror, wondering what he did wrong. wondering if he actually was the clingy wimp that hoseok had called him last night.

his expression hardened and he pushed down his negativity. he would just have to keep his mouth shut and continue to put up with it. he ran a hand back through his hair and decided to head to the kitchen for something to eat.

because truthfully, besides his fear and thoughts, he was also very hungry.
