thirty—
jimin stared into space, a few seconds passed and he was still at a loss for words, his gaze remaining on jungkook's body.
he wondered what he did to deserve this. the pain that was coursing through his body must be unbearable to the point of losing your mind. and jimin didn't want that for him. he wanted only happiness.
his mind halted, thoughts stopping and beginning to disappear as he begun to think for the greater good.
"taehyung," jimin's voice croaked, cracking and scratchy, but clear enough to be heard and understood. taehyung sat there his shock still painted upon his face, and jimin knew he would have to call out to his friend once again. "taehyung!"
his friends head snapped to attention, eyes widened and eyebrows raised, "wha-?"
"take jungkook to the hospital." he commanded, urgently grabbing his friends shoulders. taehyung didn't respond immediately, and jimin dug his fingernails into taehyung's shirt, "now!"
taehyung swallowed and nodded, slipping off his black hoodie and wrapping it over jungkooks shoulder to cover the wound and hopefully stop some of the bleeding.
"the keys are still in the keyhole," jimin explained as he helped his friend rush jungkook to the back seats, sliding him in slowly and with gentle hands they made him comfortable, "drive as fast as you can tae!"
taehyung's expression wasn't dazed or stricken with fear anymore. he was determined, and jimin knew he could leave jungkook in his hands.
jimin slammed the car door shut, looking through the transparent glass at jungkook. his brown orbs ran along jungkooks body, all the way up and stopping on his face.
jungkook was staring at him. his bunny teeth peering out from under his lips in a small, reassuring smile. jimin smiled back and placed a hand on the window, bidding him farewell. taehyung started the car and backed out, ripping jungkooks gaze away from his.
"get out of here taehyung!" jimin shouted, aware of the person now behind him.
he didn't know what to think but bad thoughts. he didn't know what to say but foul words. he didn't know what to feel but rage.
"why aren't you going, huh?" the deep voice behind him nearly made him jump. jimin took a few cautious steps forward before turning around.
"i'm settling things here with you," Jimin growled.
"oh really now?" the other commented, twirling the pistol in his hand around his finger, "aren't you afraid of this thing too?"
jimin swallowed.
he was. he was scared shitless at the thought of a bullet piercing his body and ripping through every fiber of his being.
"no." jimin replied, calmer than he expected. "but i am going to get back at you for that."
jimin's own words restored his resolve, making him stand straight and his confidence sky-rocket.
"are you sure you can do that?" hoseok teased, an evil smirk playing on his lips. "do you think i'll let you?"
"you probably won't let me, but either way, i am going to beat the shit out of you." jimin said, raising his voice now.
"fine then jimin. i'll give you a chance," hoseok slung the gun into the tall grass, pulling his arms up into fists. "i'll try and let you get back at me for killing that excuse of a person."
jimin's pot of anger boiled over at that moment. it was too much.
he lunged forward, reaching for hoseok's throat. but he was cut short by a punch to the jaw, making him stumble backwards.
although hit, he regained his balance, glaring at hoseok. he was smirking and his eyes gloated with delight. he was having fun already.
"you might just be the clumsiest fighter i have ever seen," hoseok commented with a witty chuckle.
jimin ran forward again, now frustrated with himself for letting hoseok get a hit on him. but now, jimin held a little bit of power, him being closer to hoseok now.
he shoved hoseok to the ground, punching him square in the nose.
"what makes you like this? what did jungkook or i ever do to you?" jimin couldn't contain himself anymore.
he was a mix of emotions. exasperation, fury, gloom, heartache, and misery.
"i told you jimin," hoseok clutched his nose, voice full of pain, "i never loved you. and as for your new boyfriend, he pisses me off a lot."
jimin loudly shouted into the air, and threw punch after punch at hoseok. a minute later, he was breathing heavily, glaring angrily at the bloodied face of hoseok.
he felt suddenly like his load was a little lighter, relieved to have gotten all of his anger and exasperation out of his system. but that was all quickly followed by guilt.
he had been so consumed by the thought of getting back at hoseok, that he wasn't even aware that hoseok was barely breathing below him.
his anger told him to finish him off, choke him to death and get back at him for all those years. but then he knew that he would regret it, and jungkook wouldn't want it either.
jimin let out a breath he hadn't realized he had been holding in, "hoseok. leave my life forever, and you'll never see me or any of us ever again. and i'll even leave yours."
jimin could feel hoseok tense up beneath him, but he almost immediately relaxed, and nodded. "agreed."
slowly, he slid off of hoseok and stood up, watching hoseok scramble to his truck and drive off, giving jimin the finger as he drove away despite their agreement.
but now with hoseok out of the way, jimin's fear and worry returned as he slipped his phone out of his pocket and dialed a number.
"sup?" a familiar voice answered.
"pick me up namjoon, we're going to the hospital." jimin stepped over some rocks, walking along the sidewalk for a moment.
"really what i'm fine if you're worried about me." namjoons voice got louder and full of concern.
"no, it's for jungkook."
