twenty six—

jungkook drove, listening to the directions jimin gave him as the car moved down the street.

"do you think he'll have anyone with him?" taehyung asked from the back seats, peering forward to have his head between the two.

jimin shrugged in response, "who knows. if he is feeling confident, then he definitely will come alone." jimin spoke, staring hard out the dash window.

taehyung nodded, leaning back into his seat in silence.

the air was tense. but no one dared break that barrier of tension. for it wasn't a bad type of tension, it was more like worry from all three of them. jimin and jungkook being the ones who were lost in their thoughts more than taehyung.

"and here it is," jimin stared ahead of them at the empty field, it being littered with trash from previous events.

jungkook observed the area, scanning for any sign of hoseok. then he spotted him, sitting on the tailgate of his truck, grinning at them.

"he's here." jimin mumbled, and jungkook stared ahead with his hands clutching his armrests.

"should i wait in here?" taehyung asked now worried for his own safety.

"it's fine taehyung." jimin sighed, "just sit on the hood of the car while we talk. from the looks of it there's no one in the car or with him. so he's alone. he can't really do anything. if it comes down to it it'll be us three against him."

taehyung grimly nodded, "yeah i know that... but he's hoseok."

jimin didn't respond. instead he reached for the door handle, and pushed the door open.

he wanted to settle everything. he had been living his life the past few months in worry, fear, and sadness. of course, jungkook helped him get over his sadness. but it was only replaced by anger.

hoseok had absolutely no right to threaten him with anything. he owed him nothing, no matter what he said about anything.

jungkook exited the car also, followed reluctantly by taehyung.

"oh look who it is!" hoseok pushed himself off of the tailgate, his large smirk still there. "the three people in the world that i have a problem with."

"fuck you hoseok!" taehyung shouted, his jaw clenched tightly.

hoseok chuckled, "you always were a feisty one tae. i wonder how yoongi puts up with you."

taehyung stomped forward in anger, but jimin pulled him back. "he's not worth it. anything but worth it." jimin breathed with narrow eyes.

"oh and it's the asshole i fought with!" hoseok turned to jungkook, "you throw some good punches you know. you cracked my jaw. you're pretty lucky i can forgive people, otherwise you might be dead already." hoseok glared at him, burning a hole into his eyes.

jimin crossed his arms, fed up with how he was talking to his friends, most of all jungkook.

"okay hoseok. we're here to talk about everything now." jimin said, his eyebrows furrowing together as he spoke.

hoseok took a few steps back, satisfaction in his eyes now. "you're giving me everything right?"

"no." jimin smirked, cockily. "i'm ending everything here with you. after today, i never want to see you again. and you will never see me again. never."
