epilogue—

"come on jungkookie!"

jungkook grunted, pulling himself up and over a ledge. "sure..."

jungkook's uncle, after jungkook was released from the hospital, had lent him a mountain cabin for a few days to relax. he said he could bring a minimum of one to two people, and of course jungkook brought jimin along.

but since he had technically just left the hospital, he was still sore and ached all over. jimin on the other hand was perfectly fine.

jungkook stood to his feet and dusted himself off, glancing back at the ledge behind him. they were close to the cabin, but it had take them a few hours to climb the mountains and hike a ways to get to where they were now.

below them was a waterfall coming from the mountains pouring into a small lake. above it, where they currently were, was a small path to the cabin they would be staying at for a few days and nights.

jungkook walked after jimin, adjusting the backpack on his back. jimin glanced back at jungkook to make sure he was keeping up before he started power-walking again, not stopping until he was met with the small and peaceful cabin they would be staying at.

the small building was frankly yes, small and tiny but it gave off a pretty nice and cozy feeling. it made jimin feel right at home the moment he stepped through the door.

jungkook set his bag down by the door once they were inside, placing his hands on his hips. he looked around and breathed a deep breath.

"it's been awhile since i was last here." he said.

jimin smiled back at him and looked around himself. it was small, but quite modern. the kitchen, modern. the small living room, modern. and the one bedroom and bathroom was also pretty modern.

"you aren't rich are you?" jimin noted as he peered through the door of the bathroom, both of them now in the bedroom.

"no, not at all." jungkook laughed, "my uncle has actually renovated this place a lot in the past. the last time i was here, it was a lot less classier."

jimin nodded, "well it's nice."

"i'll tell my uncle you said that." jungkook grinned at him and a thought suddenly popped into his head. "but right now..." he grabbed jimin's wrist and pulled him into his chest, "what do you want to do?"

jimin pouted at him before a smile slowly grew on his face. "we're supposed to eat after we looked around, remember?"

jungkook used his body weight to lean him and jimin back onto the bed. planting a small kiss on his nose, he frowned. "but i wanna stay here with you... i'm still sore from the hospital."

jimin couldn't contain the grin that was plastered across his face. he grabbed jungkook by the collar and pulled him in for a soft kiss. their lips moved in harmony together, both of them knowing exactly how it went. but when jimin pulled away, he pushed jungkook off of him to sit up.

"i'm hungry, and i'm sure you are too."

jungkook crossed his arms in disappointment and grumbled to himself. jimin chuckled at the younger's reaction and grabbed his hand, tugging him forward. "come on. i know how much you love food. especially duck meat."

jungkooks eyes lit up immediately at the mention of one of his favorite foods. jimin directed him out back to the cliff where a fire pit lined with comfortable couches and bags of fresh duck meat awaited them. the ledge had no railings or protection to keep them from falling to their deaths so you could see practically everything. from the city below the mountains, also where they lived, to far beyond that.
