Everything is falling apart. I'm losing people all around me. First my father, then Anthony, and now Kaitlyn. My life was just going down hill now. Nothing could bring back those people. I can never seem to catch a break.

Kate didn't talk to me on the way back after I kissed her. She just kept the eerie silence around us. I tried talking to her but every time I did she just shook her head.

When we got back to the hotels she ran up the stairs and straight to her room. I stood there for the longest time. I tried to not let the tears overwhelm me. But I could feel my tears well up in my eyes. Tears rolled down my cheek.

I didn't know what was going on through my mind when I kissed her.

So what did I feel?

I sat down at the dining tables for a while and rested my head against the soft fabric of the table cloth. Nothing went through my brain the whole time I rested there. My eyes were stuck on a single rose.

There was a crack on the wall and on the floor. Light seeped through the crack on the wall and lit up the rose. The rose grew out of the ground. The red petals dripped with rain that came from the roof. The drops of clear water bubbled on individually.

Something solid dropped on the table.

I looked down to see it was the necklace my father threw to me before he was killed. The ruby glimmered from the light. I closed my eyes and tried remembering a good time with my father.

I couldn't remember anything. My heart dropped. I couldn't even remember what he felt like. All I could remember was his death at the injections.

That's when it happened.

Something sharp shot through my head. It wasn't physical pain or anything outside that hit me. It was mental pain. I tried screaming but nothing came out. My head twitched around rapidly. I slammed my fists on the table trying to comprehend what was going on.

My heart contracted quickly over and over again through my body. Every part of my body went completely cold before I finally collapsed to the ground. Blackness pulsated around my eyes. I could feel the air through my nose, filling my nose, then escaping my body. I tried moving my body but everything was numb.

Everything went dark

-------------------------------------

I opened my eyes.

There was nothing there.

The ground around me was partially soft but something sharp jabbing me on the entire front side of my body. There was gusts of wind whispering into my ears.

Rise

The voice was so sharp and so precise that it didn't seem like the wind. Chills ran my spine to my brain.

Where am I?

I stood up. I was so light-headed that I stumbled over and caught on to something. It was rough and fragile as some of it broke off when I pressed on it. Dust and small particles rubbed off into my hand. A large figure rose up in front of me. A hint of green was reflected.

A tree.

I took a couple of steps back to see the sky ever so clearly. Stars were scattered across the midnight dark sky. The moon was complete. Some distinct grey craters freckled the circle.

Below me little blades brushed up against my ankles as a gust of wind blew by.

Grass.

As my vision got more adjusted, dark figures rose all around me. It was as if the world was choked with trees. I felt like I was in a tight room, but everything around me remained the same.
