"so, what now?" dan asked.

"whaddya mean?" i replied, confused.

dan facepalmed, laughing. "whaddoo we do now? like, movie? more mario kart?"

"cuddle?" i suddenly asked, biting my lip, regretting asking.

"yES, definitely!" dan grinned, hopping off the counter he was sitting on. he grabbed at my wrist and dragged me over to the couch, sitting down.

i smiled, trying to control my blush. i sat down next to dan, wrapping my arms around the younger boy.

"ya know, you're pretty cute. for all those light colors. i mean, what's with the pastel?" i asked, scrunching up my nose jokingly. "not that i have anything against it. it suits you."

dan shrugged, leaning back against my chest. "i dunno. in this weird dark world, i like to add a little brightness. don't you think we could use a little color? oh, wait, i'm just rambling."

i nodded, thinking about it for a moment. "no, no, you're fine. don't worry about rambling, i do the same, like i am now..." he chuckled slightly. "anyways, yeah. that is true."

"if it's true, what's with the dark stuff you wear? and all the tattoos, the piercings?" dan wondered aloud, looking down at my sleeve of tattoos.

"i guess it's because even where so many people wear dark things, i still like to stand out. i don't feel... right, in bright colors." dan smiled at the rhyme, probably wondering if i had even noticed it. "hence the tattoos and piercings, and the blue hair. if i have to wear dark clothing, i'd at least want to have something to stand out," i continued.

dan nodded, listening. "yeah, i get that. but now i wanna see you in bright colooorrss!" dan laughed.

"too baaaaddd!" i chuckled. "maybe. at some point. just not anytime soon."

"is that implying that you wanna stick with me?" dan smiled, resting his chin up on my shoulder.

i gasped exaggeratedly. "whaaaat, of course!" i grinned. "i didn't call you cute and intend to just leave."

"good," dan sighed happily. "i've had enough of people leaving."

"so have i," i agreed, pulling dan closer.
