Rain's POV

When me and Robby got back from our swim, we made sure we were holding hands. Our clothes were already in disarray, so we really looked the part.

The first thing we saw when we approached the house, was Connor. The cheater himself. I couldn't believe that he had done it when I first felt the pain, but after last night, I was done playing nice.

Ignoring him and leading Robby to the kitchen, I began to make us breakfast. Keeping it simple and fast, I went with scrambled eggs and toast. Robby and I ate i silence, but we spent the time smiling at each other. Connor didn't even know that I was a mermaid. No one did, except Carry and now Robby.

Connor had had enough. He was livid with me, but I don't know why he felt that he had the right to get mad after what he did last night.

He yelled at Robby to go to his room, that he would deal with him later. Robby couldn't refuse the Alpha voice just yet, but I would show him how. Tonight.

I turned to look at Connor. And then all hell broke loose. He started shouting at me. Saying that everything was my fault. How if I were a wolf, that everything would have been fine.

How dare he try and make this my fault. My anger rose was every word he uttered. Higher and higher it went. My blood was boiling in my veins. It was now causing pain. This pain was familiar. If my emotions were to high, and I was bottling them up, so that I wouldn't affect the weather, it would cause me extreme pain. The only cure was water. Like I said, water fixes everything.

I tried to walk out of the door, back to the beach, but Connor stepped in front of me. I sidestepped him, but he blocked me again.

"Move, Connor," I told him. He wouldn't budge.

I was seething with anger. He was keeping me from my water. I was in pain and he was making it worse.

"If you do not get out of my way, Connor, you will regret it," I threatened, holding his gaze defiantly. I needed water. Now.

"No. You are not going to avoid me," he stated, planting his feet apart like I was going to make a run for it.

I wasn't going to run. Oh no. If he wouldn't let me go to the water, then I would have to bring the water to me.

I began to sing Swimming by Florence + The Machine. It had the closest message to what I wanted to happen. While I was singing, I lifted my arms and began to use my powers to bring the water to me.

"Your songs remind me of swimming,

Which I forgot when I started to sink

Dragged further away from the shore,

And deeper into the drink

Sat on the bottom of the ocean,

A stern and stubborn rock

'Cause your songs remind me of swimming,

But somehow I forgot

I was sinking, and now I'm sunk

I was drinking, and now I'm drunk

Your songs remind me of swimming,

But somehow I forgot

I tried to remember the chorus,

I can't remember the verse

'Cause that song that sent me swimming,
