Chapter 20: The Long Morning Prep

ROSE'S POV

I was fast asleep when I got the feeling like I was being watched.

It's just a dream Rose.

Then I felt something near my face and it terrified me so I opened my eyes to see what I would come face to face with.

"Aaaah," I let out a scream and covered my face with my sheets.

"Happy birthday amore mio," I heard Cristiano's voice say.

"What in the world Cristiano," I said as he pulled the sheets down from my face.

"What? Can I not be the first to say happy birthday to you?"

"Not when it's," I checked my phone to see the time, "12 o'clock in the morning."

"Oh come one it's not like you haven't stayed up past 12," he said laying next to me and hugging me.

"Yes but not after running all over the estate with Carlotta and Camila," I replied as I wrapped my arms around him, "but thank you."

"You're welcome mia cara," he replied as he placed a kiss on my cheek, "now we can go back to sleep together." (my dear)

"Please," I said as I kissed his soft lips.

We cuddled together and it wasn't long before I fell back asleep.

8 HOURS LATER

BEEP BEEP BEEP BEEP BEEP BEEP

"For the love of God turn it off," I heard Cristiano mumble still half asleep as he put a pillow over his head trying to block out the sound of the alarm clock that had magically appeared in the middle of my room floor.

I got up, still half asleep.

I looked at it and the time was 7:30 AM. I finally turned it off and noticed a note under it.

"Good morning bambina. Happy birthday and sorry for the early wake up call but we have to get you ready to greet everyone by 5. Come down for breakfast at 9:30 and we'll talk more then. Oh and please wake up Cristiano as well. Carlotta," I read as I got back to the bed.

"Your mommy wants you to wake up."

"I don't want to wake up it's still too early," I heard him say from under the pillow.

I grabbed one of his hands and put it on one of my breasts.

"I'll let you shower with me," I said as I bit my lip trying not to laugh as I imagined his reaction when I'd tell him I was joking.

"Let's go!"

He shot up like a lightning bolt and headed for the shower. When he finally figured out that I wasn't following him he walked back out to the where I was.

"That was a cruel and mean thing to do. Even for you," he said as he kissed me and walked towards the door.

"I love youuu," I cooed as he opened the door.

"I do tooo," he mimicked as he walked out and closed the door.

I got up and went to into the shower. I was rinsing off when I thought I had heard the door to my room open again but I didn't pay much attention and then it happened.

SMACK

"Oh my gosh," I yelled as I felt the stinging on my butt from the hard slap it had just received.

I heard Cristiano's laugh coming from the room.

"Cristiano!!!!!!!"

"I love you mia cara but I don't like being teased so cruelly," he yelled from the room.
