I can't believe I'm engaged to him and that in a couple months I'll being saying "I do" to spending the rest of my life next to him.
When I turned to look at the clock on the wall in Papa's office it read 5:15PM.
"Mama isn't going to be too happy," Cristiano said as he covered the exit from the secret passageway with the painting, "we both know how much she dislikes tardiness."
"I know but it was worth it," I said as I embraced him, "I'm sure she'll forget all about it after we tell her why we were late."
"I can't argue with that."
He smiled and placed a kiss on my forehead.
We were making our way across the front of the house towards the back when Camila called us.
"Rose! Cristiano!"
"Camila, is everything okay," I asked as we walked towards her.
"If okay is a synonym for distraught then yes I'm okay."
"Well what happened," Cristiano asked with a concerned expression coming over his face.
"I went into Leo's room and...I... I found a condom."
"Well isn't it a good thing he's using protection," I asked.
"No because he shouldn't be having anything!"
"Camila they're two growing and hormonal 16 year old boys. They're big boys already. Let them have some fun," Cristiano said blowing off the severity his sister gave the situation.
"Okay I don't mind them DOING it but I'm kind of hurt that they didn't tell me."
"Camila, it must be awkward for them to go talk to you about such a thing. Why not tell them to go talk to Cri...no not Cristiano. Have them talk with Gio," I replied to her.
"What? Why not me? What's wrong with talking to me," Cristiano laughed as he felt his ego deteriorate a bit.
I looked over at him and just gave him the "do you really need me to remind you that you were a man whore" look.
"Yeah I'll have them talk to Gio. In fact I'll talk to him right now to tell him," she started to walk away and towards the hall when she suddenly stopped.
"By the way," she said smiling as she held up her right hand and wiggled her fingers, "welcome to the family sister-in-law."
I smiled as I felt Cristiano hug me from behind and kiss my cheek, "Thank you cuñada." (sister in law *Spanish)
CRISTIANO'S POV
"How did she know by the way," she asked.
"She helped me pick out the ring," I replied as i took her hand as we walked to the hall only for her to find another big surprise waiting for there.
"Mama! Papa! You guys came" she exclaimed as she rushed over to her parents.
"We wouldn't miss your birthday Rose," Victoria, Rose's mom, said as she hugged her tightly, "besides it was a good excuse to get a break from your abuela." (grandma)
