1 Year Later: Sorry for such a leap

I stuffed my hands in my pockets as I walked through Central Park. The Autumn air felt nice after being confined to the coffee shop all day with Nikki. I usually walked through part of the park to get to my apartment on 9th ave. I sold the place that Tony and I had and moved to somewhere new. I needed something fresh, so I found a cute little studio apartment. It was about a 10-15 minute walk to Times Square, so all in all, not bad.

I stood out in New York. I was a 26 year old woman, covered in tattoos and piercings with long, turquoise hair. People always gave me judgmental stares but it's not like they actually know me. My upper body ached, I was actually making my way back from my favorite tattoo parlor. I had been there since 9 this morning, it was now 7 at night. But, I have 5 new tattoos that my friend got to do and it didn't cost me a single dollar. I now have 2 Peter Pan tattoos, one on my collarbone and the other on the back of my ear. I have a rose shedding petals on my neck and music notes inside the cuff of my ear. But my favorites from today were a classic tattooed bird on the other side of my collarbone and in the center I have "California Dreamin" going across. "Lonely Girl", my ring tone, tore me from my thoughts.

"Yellow," I spoke cheerfully.

"LOSER!! I'm glad you answered, get your ass down to Bowery Ballroom," Nikki shouted into the phone making me cringe.

"Ugh, why," I groaned.

She laughed, "Because you have a stick up your ass and this will make you feel 10 times better!"

I sighed, "Fine I'll see you in 30."

I hung up and hailed a cab, "Bowery Ballroom please."

"No problem, sweetheart," the cab driver said in a thick Jersey accent.

I scrolled through my tweets and laughed silently in my head at all the girls telling me that they were glad that Tony and I never got back together. 14 year old fangirls always made me smile, they had no idea what the world was like. They lived in a world where they thought that band members 10 years older than them would want to be with them.

"That'll be 10 bucks," the cab driver said looking back at me.

I gave him 15 and headed into the small venue. This was Nikki and I's favorite hangout spot. You could catch so many bands that were just starting out. We were really good friends with the owner and a lot of the staff. Nikki use to work here so we get VIP treatment. I surveyed the people around me. There were girls in shorts that showed their ass even though it was chilly outside and shirts that almost fully exposed their tits. What really struck me were the amount of Pierce The Veil, A Day To Remember, Bring Me The Horizon and Sleeping With Sirens shirts there were.

"LOSERRRRR," a drunk Nikki slurred at me.

I smiled and pulled her in for a hug, "Hey Niks."

"Woah, nice ink," she smirked as she took another gulp of whatever she was drinking.

"Hey Sammy, hit a lady up," I called to the bar tender.

He smirked and slid down a bottle of Becks. I grabbed it and raised it to him before taking a large sip. Nikki grabbed my free hand and pulled me to the backstage area. I didn't surprise me at all when she ran into a guy's arms. However, this guy meant that I needed to run.

"Charlotte," he smiled.

I looked at him like a deer in the headlights, "Jeremy."

He laughed, "Come on, we've been friends for awhile, I think we can do a little more than say each other's names."
