Charlie's POV - 6 Months Later:

I looked at my watch and noticed I was going to be late. "Shit," I thought, I can't actually be late. This might be one of the greatest things to happen to me and I'm going to be fucking late. I was meeting with a record label because they wanted to sign my band, which was fantastic. Except, I'm late. They're going to be so pissed.

I got out of my yellow jeep and sprinted into the lobby of the building. I got awkward looks from various people. I don't blame them. I'm a 26 year old woman with long purple hair, tattoos on my stomach and various other places they could see, nose and lip piercings, plugs, and bright green eyes outlined with thick black liner. Not to mention my clothes; cosmic galaxy leggings, a Star Wars crop tee, combat boots, a beanie and big hipster glasses. They had the right to stare but I know they are judging me too, which is the bit I'm not okay with.

The secretary smiles up at me, "Can I help you, darlin'?"

"I'm Charlotte Daniels with the band Downfall To Your Demise," I huffed at her with a small smile.

"Ah yes, 28th floor, first door straight ahead when you get off the elevator," she nodded as she pointed in the direction that the elevators were.

I smiled and gave a wave as I rushed to get to my meeting on time. The elevator doors opened and I quickly got on and punched number 28. When the doors opened I was in awe. This floor looked so luxurious, I must be in the wrong place. I made my way to the office that she said and saw my co founder and best friend already there making small talk to the label manager.

"Knock knock," I laughed quietly as I pushed the door open.

"Charlotte, thank you for joining us," Matty laughed and motioned to the chair next to him.

"Tim Johnson, pleasure to meet you Miss Daniels," the official said, sticking his hand out with a smile.

I shook his hand and let him chat us up about his label and how much he would love to have us. We would be signed to a 2 year contract and would need to produce at least two full albums and have at least 2 headlining or co-headlining tours . The terms seemed reasonable and Matty and I both thought the band could do it so we signed our souls away to this man.

"Thank you both so much for your time and we're glad to have you join us. I'll talk to you both about a manager and get you started right away," Tim said as Matty and I both started to walk out.

We were in the elevator when we both looked at each other, "WE'RE SIGNED." We yelled it at the same time which caused us to break into laughter that was cut short by my phone ringing.

"Hello," I spoke cheerfully into the device.

"Hello Charlotte, it's Dr. Robinson," the familiar voice replied.

My smile faded, "Yes, what can I do for you?"

She laughed, "It's nothing bad. I just wanted you to know that I cleared you to have joint or full custody of you son, the paperwork is being sent to your lawyer and you may chose what you do with it."

My frown perked back up into an ecstatic grin, "That's fantastic. Gosh today is just going my way. We got the record deal that I was telling you about last week."

"That's great news, Charlotte. I'm so happy that your life is getting back on track. Please don't hesitate to contact me if things become hard but I do hope that we don't see each other under the same circumstances," she spoke cheerfully, you could hear a smile in her voice.

"Bye Dr. Robinson," I chirped back and hung up.

I looked over at Matty who was grinning like an idiot. I smacked him and walked out of the building letting the L.A sun shine on my skin. I waved back at Matty and yelled that I would call him later but right now I needed to get my ass to S.D to visit my lovely group of sexicans.
