Early Wake Up Call: The Job Decision

"Bree! Wake up! Today Alby tells you what your job is!" Thomas said excitedly while shaking me gently. I moan and roll over.
"Go away, Thomas. I'm trying to sleep! I don't care about my stupid job right now!" I mumble sleepily and close my eyes tighter. I feel the grass under my fingers and then I remember. Me, Thomas, Alex, and Newt all fell asleep outside last night while hanging out.
"Bree! Wake up. Let's go! You're gonna get into some bloody trouble if you dont!" Newt said while he sat up. I look at him and roll my eyes.
"Ugh! Fine. I'm up." I say while half mumbling the statement with the same sleepy tone in my voice. I yawn, stand up, and look at Thomas who is smiling at me. I frown.
"What do you want, Thomas! Stop looking at me like that!" I snap while walking towards the Homestead. He laughed and sneekily came up behind me. He picked me up and hung me over his shoulders. He literally always does that.
"Thomas! Put me down!" I say while smacking him in the back really hard. So hard that it hurt my own hand.
"Ow! Dang Bree! Don't hit me so hard! My gosh!" he snapped and put me down. I turn and walk away grumpily. I'm tired and when I'm tired I get super grumpy at everyone.
"Bree! C'mon let's go!" Alex said while pulling me with her as she ran to the kitchen.
"Alex I havent even gotten ready yet!" I moan.
"It's fine! I couldnt even tell!" she said while still running. I roll my eyes. We finally reach the kitchen and Alby was standing at the front if the room. Everyone looks as I walk in.
"Welcome, Bree. Come sit down." Alby said while pointing to a chair. I sit in the chair and listen to his super long and boring speech.
"So, without any more speeches. I will give Bree her job." Alby said while motioning for me to come stand by him. I walk slowly.
"Bree, I have chosen you to be a Runner!" he said with a huge grin on his face. Everyone gasped. Except for Minho and Thomas. They were both grinning ear to ear. I couldn't help but smiling. This is exactly what I wanted!
"Thank you, Alby! Thank you! I won't let you down!" I say while hugging him. He hugs me back.
"I know you won't. Go on with Minho and Thomas and they will get you set up." Alby commanded while turning me towards them. I smile while walking to them and Thomas holds my hand. We walk to the Runners building and I get all set up. I'm a Runner now!
