Chapter 1

Joey:

'Meeting in 30"

Me:

'Going'

With that being done, I got up from my warm bed and walked to my bathroom to get ready. My flat is the perfect size for 2 people. Two bathrooms and 3 bedrooms, just right, I thought.

Getting inside the bathroom, I tried to control my curly, dark-brown, mid-back length hair. In the end I decided to keep it half up and half down, with a pink rose on the hair tie.

After that, I grabbed dark washed skinny jeans, a faded, baby pink colored blouse, and a light gray cardeigan. For shoes, I grabbed brown, leather flats and put them on. For makeup, I put nothing too noticable, just eyeliner and mascara to make my brown eyes look bigger.

I'm done with only 20 min. left. With that, I rushed to the livingroom and saw my little sister, Ellizabelle, or Liz, how I call her, sleeping. I gently shook her shoulder to waker her up, "Liz, sweetie, wake up. I have to go."

"Why Andi? Why so late?" She asks using the nickname she gave me, while rubbing her eyes with her small hands.

"You know how Joey is, he doesn't care what time it is, all he wants is the job to be done." I explained looking at her eyes.

"I know, but when will you get a different job, Andi?"

"I-I don't know. but I'll make a promise okay?" I ask and she nods, "I'll ask today, and-and, I'll tell you right when I come home, okay?"

"Okay Andi!" She claps her hands together and nods excitedly.

"Okay you know what to do right, lock the doors and windows, put a chair under the door knob, and turn off the light. I'll be be back ASAP, okay?" When I'm done, she nods and turns around, running to her room. I check my phone and find I have 10 min. left.

I get up from the groung, dust my jeans and run out the door and locking it. I turn around and walk to where the meeting is being held.

At The Meeting

I walk to the meeting area, which was no surprise, was in an alley, and find out its only me and Joey.

"Where were you!? You're late!?" Joey yelled in my face.

"Um, for your information, I'm a minute early," I answered with a smirk, raising my phone up, and showing the time, which was true, I was a minute early.

"Don't you sass me, Cassandra!" He warned.

"Okay, fine. Why was this meeting called anyways?"

"Well, I just wanted to see that pretty, little face of your's." He says with a wicked smile, while grabing my chin with his left hand.

I turned my head, "Cut the slack. Why do you really want me here for."

"What? You don't believe me?" He asked. I just roll my eyes. "Fine, I want you to do something for me."

"Oh, I have to tell you something first."

"Go ahead, sweetheart."

"I won't be working for you anymore." I replied, free from any expression.

"What!?" Joey yelled, and it echoed throughout the alley in which the meeting was held.

"You heard me. I'm tired of sell drugs to people. My sister is too," I explain.

"Oh, so all of this is because of your sister!? Liz, isn't it!?" He said sister with such discuss, almost as if she was his worst enemie.

"No. It's because I want to change, I want to be a good influece, and this jod doesn't make the cut." I shot right back narrowing my eyes at him.

"You know what? I don't care if the job makes the cut. You're still going to work for me!" He roughly grabs my chin so hard I bet there's going to be a mark left behind.

"Well, I don't care what you think either!" I shot back, "you can't stop me! I already made up my mind!" I slaped his hand away, grabbed my stuff, and left the alley without turning back.

"You'll regret this Cassandra!"

Little did I know he was right.

Hey!!!! Okay so this is my first Book so it would help A LOT if you Guys hint me on stuff!!!!! anyways this is the first chapter!!! Whats goign to happen to Cassandra (main character) and what about Liz (Cassandra's sister)???
