~*~Chapter 9~*~

Zayn opened a door at the end of the hallway. The room wasn't big but it wasn't small either. Well, that would be your answer if you were rich because this room was bigger than my old room. "We have to talk." Zayn said.

"I don't want to."

"Cassandra, I didn't give you a choice. We're going to talk." He warned.

"What are we going to talk about then?" I asked crossing my arms and sitting on the edge of the bed.

"Cassandra." He let out a breath of air, running a hand through his hair. "This isn't going to be easy, and I thought you knew who the lads and I were when we met you for the first time, yesterday on the bus." He reminded.

"Well, as you can see, Zayn, I didn't know who you were or who the lads were and still don't. Care to explain why I should know you?" I asked.

"The lads and I are in a band. Well, a boy band to be exact. We're called One Direction." He explains.

"And I should care because..." I run off, moving my hand to motion him to fill in the blank.

"We're world wide, Cassandra." He fills in, "people will know about you in a few days if they ever caught you with me, or even with any of the other lads." I nodded.

"Well, thanks!" I sarcastically said to him falling back onto the bed.

"Cassandra, I'm only trying to help. I don't know why, but I have this feeling of keep you safe, and you're only making that harder than what's it suppose to be." He informs letting out a sigh that he was holding in.

"Don't worry, Zayn. I understand. You won't have to help me for long. I'm going to move out of your life pretty soon."

"We'll talk about this later one, right now, just go to sleep. We already had a long day today. We should rest for tomorrow."

"Yeah, sure. Goodnight, Zayn." I replied with a yawn.

"Goodnight, Cassandra." He said back, chuckling at my laziness and got out of my room shutting the door.

~One Month Later and a Half Later~

"Ready, Cassandra?" Asked Harry, the boy with brown curly hair and green eyes said, standing at my doorway. Lately, I've gotten close to the lads. I've gotten the chance to know them more. You could say we're the bestest of friends.

"Yeah, Harry. I'm going." He nodded and turned around and left. I was wearing a black, lace dress that reached just above my knees with elbow length sleeves, and with a pair of black flats. My hair was straightened and then loosely curled while being pulled back with hair pins, making it look as if I had a headband on. Today was my sister's funeral. The day I was dreading the most. Today was the day I will finally realize that the only person I ever loved, died. I stared at my reflection a little longer. I was wearing my usual makeup, a little eyeliner and a little mascara.

Finally, I waked out of my room and into the living room where the rest of the lads were. I gave them the best smile I could pull off. They all tried to return the smile. Zayn broke the uncomfortable silence by standing up from the couch and walked up to me. "Ready to go?" He asked. I just simply nodded. He grabbed my hand and lead me and the lads to the car waiting for us outside.

"Amen." The priest said. The lads and I responded with our own 'amen's' back. I looked as they started lowering my sister 6 ft. under ground. I through my white rose down with her. They were her favorite. I would always buy them for her whenever I got the chance. A couple of men started burying her down below.

"You know it's okay to cry, right?" Asked Niall, the blond one with unique blue eyes. They were a shade I've never seen before. He also said that because he most've seen my eyes were tear free.

"I can't." I protested. It was true, I couldn't cry. As strange as it sounds, my sister and I made this promise that which one of us dies first, the other won't cry. I know it's weird and all, but I was going to keep that promise because I knew that if I would've died first, I wouldn't want my sister to cry when I've died.

"There's nothing wrong with it." He stated.

"You wouldn't understand." I dully stated. I looked at nothing significant in the sky. It was turning grey. It's was possibly going to rain soon.

"Then help me understand." He inquired. He turned me at around and grabbed my shoulders. My head started pounding really hard that I had to shut my eyes and winced in pain. "Cassandra? Are you okay?" Niall asked. I kept my eyes closed. My head still pounded really hard that it felt like it was going to explode. My hands went to hold my head. "Cassan-" that was the last thing I heard before I completely blacked out.
