~*~Chapter 4~*~
I stared at him for a while. He too, stared back at me. It took him a while to notice who I was. I looked back at the officer. "Are you done asking questions, sir?" I asked him. He looked at me, then scratched the back of his head with a thinking expression.
"Yes, miss," he looked back at me, then kneld so he could look me in the eyes. "Do you know where we could find this Joey guy?"
I shook my head, "No, I don't know where he lives or anything. All I have is his phone number, does that help at all?"
"Yes, we can give him a call, but miss, you have to go somewhere so you don't get sick. I understand that you don't want to go back, but we don't need you sick when we need you the most, so I suggest to go inside, just for today." I nodded.
"I'll think about it."
"Okay, if you think about going somewhere else, please come tell me before you leave." I knodded once again. He stood up, and gave me a hand. "Do you know that young man over there?" Once again, I nodded. "I think you should explain this to him then."
"I'll think about it, and thanks again officer. I'm sorry that I was a pain the in arse."
He chuckled, "Don't worry about it, love." He let go of my hand and I watch him do back inside my flat. I felt a hand rest on my shoulder. I turned to face Zayn, once again. I bet I looked horrible, make up smeared and hair messed up. I looked at his sorrow filled eyes.
"Are you okay, love?" He asked. I shook my head. Tears rushing down my face. I didn't want to look at him or anything at this moment, so I just shut my eyes. Before I knew it, I was engulfed in a hug. I sobbed for like 5 min. but it seemed like an hour.
"I-I'm s-sorry." I gasped for some air from all the crying I did.
"For what? You did nothing wrong." He answered with a weak smile.
"I-it was my fault! I should of listened to him! This wouldn't of happened if I listened to him!" I yelled while falling to my knees. The only problem was, my knees never touched the ground. Zayn had me in his arms.
"What are you taking about? What's going on?" He asked.
"I think you should leave Zayn. I'll be find." I tried to assure him.
"I don't believe you. Tell me what's going on!" He impatiently asked.
"I barely know you, and you expect me to answer you!"
"You're right. Maybe I should leave! I'm sorry for trying to help you!" He bitterly answered. He let go of me roughly, but yet gentle enough for me not to full.
"Cassandra." I wispered.
"What?"
"Cassandra." I say a little bit more louder. I turn around and started walking back to my flat.
"Wait," He grabs my arm, AGAIN, "Cassandra,as in your name?" He said in a much calmer voice.
"Yes, and how many time are you going keep running into me and grabbing my arm?" I asked, sniffing in the end.
He chuckles, "I bet you can call it faith." I raised an eyebrow.
"That's so cheesy." I laugh. "Thank you."
"For what?" He genuinely looked confused.
"For helping me right now, when I most desperately needed someone. Oh, and for making me smile and laugh." I answered with a smile.
"No problem?" He replied more as in a question. "We need to take you somewhere dry and warm before we both get sick." He stated. "I'll take you to your flat, okay?"
"I don't want to go back there." I rushed.
"Why not?"
"I don't want to talk about it. Can we just drop it?"
"Sure. Whatever you say. So.... would you mind coming to my flat?"
"If I'm not much of a bother, then sure." I answered.
"Don't ever say that! You would never bother me." He said grabing my chin. This was the first time I ever let anybody grab my chin freely, and it's the first that wasn't harsh like what happened after my father left.
"Okay." I said in a hushed tone. "I have to tell the officer I'm leaving." I told.
"Oh, okay. I'll wait right here then." He said kind of awkwardly.
"You can come. Well, if you want, of course." I said scratching the back of my head awkwardly.
He grinned. "I would love to." He said. I sighed in relief. Went and grabbed his hand and dragged him with me.
"This," I pointed at my flat, "used to be my flat. I'm going to sell it. I can't and wouldn't live here anymore." I said with tears in my eyes.
"May I ask why you're going to sell it? It look's lovely."He asked turning me to face him.
"Me and my s-sister... oh my gosh this is so hard!" I yelled falling into his arms. "I can't take this anymore, Zayn! It's only been a couple hours, but I still can't get it through my head that she's gone!!" I sobbed into his chest. He rubbed my back saying sothing words trying to calm me down.
"You know what? How about I tell the officer that you're coming with me?"
"No! I don't want you to see what happened to her! Oh, how much I wish that was me so she could live her life!"
"No! Cassandra, I don't want you talking like that anymore! You hear me? I'm going to help you through this! You understand? Now, I'm goign inside whether you like it or not!" He let me go and walked inside. I simply didn't want to stand anymore, so I let myself fall to the ground. That's all I remember until everything went black.
