Saving MacKenzie

Chapter 10

MacKenzie's POV

"Well....you did get drunk and all....and obviously your tattoo....but.....I can't really remember much. Although a guy from social securities saw us with you...and he threatened to  take you away from us." Dan gulps.

"y-you know I would never go with them right." I reassure them. 

"Well we know that....but sadly....it's not really your choice...you are under aged so they would take you and it wouldn't matter what you or we thought." Phil says in sorrow.

"Anyway nothing like that will ever happen again.....right?" I ask.

"Of course not...we wil never be that irresponsible EVER again!"  Dan nods.

"Oh...and you might've confessed your love for Finn..." Dan chuckles slightly.

My cheeks inflame with embarrassment.

"Now that that is clear.....what should we do?" Phil asks'.

I shrug, "I don't care...." 

"Oh! I know!" Dan says.

"What? Is it something fun and exciting?" I eagerly ask.

"Somwhat......We need to enroll you in school...." He says.

All the energy drains out of my body, "Oh..." I mumble.

"I'm sorry....but we have jobs.....I would love for you to come to BBC radio with us....but we can't and we can't really homeschool you...." Dan says sadly.

"It's OK....it's just...I-I've never been to a real school before I was always tutored...." I say.

"I know....but I'm sure everyone will love you!" Phil smiles trying to up lift my spirit.

Although I only roll my eyes, "You really think people are going to want to be friends with me? I think not." I grumble.

"I would want to be friends with you if I were your age." Dan shrugs.

"Yeah well that's different you are my cousin." I huff.

"Even If I didn't know you....I would love to get to know you." He smiles.

"Whatever I highly doubt it....I'm going to take a nap..." I sigh climbing onto the couch and cuddling into my blankets.

I feel the opposite end of the couch sink in notifying me that smoeone sat down.

I open one eye to find Dan sitting there with his water ducts filled.

"Dan....please don't cry over me..." I whisper.

"i'm sorry....It's just you are one of the most amazing girl I've ever met, and I feel so sad that yu think tha no one would like you..." he smiles.

My eyes start to tear up, "Thank you Dan....You are one the nicest people I've ever met and one of the few that didn't judge me for my looks, and you welcomed me with open arms....you are by far the best cousin/brother/father ever!" 

"That is so cute!" I hear Phil say.

I laugh and look at him, he is holding his phone, "Oh yeah I'm doing a twitcam right now." He smiles.

 I roll my eyes, "Hey guys!" I laugh

Dan wipes away his tears and waves to the camera. 

Phil goes back into his room and Dan moves so now my head is in his lap. He looks down at me.

"Macaroon....I know it's going to be hard...but you are still going to have to go to school." He sighs.

"I know....I just am scared..." I whisper.

"Don't be.....we will deal with this tomorrow...right now you just rest...you need some sleep." He whispers and plants a kiss on my forehead.

I close my eyes and smile. I feel something else furry press up against my stomach, I open my eyes to find Suka next to me. He is literally so adorable! 

I close my eyes again finaly dozing off into a dreamless sleep.
