"Did you do it?" She asked trying to keep the smile on her face, and stop her teeth from chattering together.

"Yes, it was amazing, Annie," Clark said with so much happiness and excitement.

"That's so cool! Eh, no pun intended considering our current surroundings." Annie said while casting a look around with a wry smile. "Speaking of which...Clark?"

"What's wrong?" Once his excitement had died down, he looked to her, his earlier worry had reappeared. She seemed to tightly hold onto herself as she looked at him; she seemed to almost double into herself as she stood shivering. She was susceptible to the weather, and she felt the effects of it.

"I don't think I can honestly stand much more of this...stay though, you can stay, but I need to seriously get somewhere warm. I honestly don't want frostbite...I also need to get back and find Doctor Hamilton, I've got some serious explaining to do."

"No, you're right. We should get going." Clark said while removing his hand from her face which caused her to whine somewhat childishly, she was enjoying the lone source of heat around here. "Annie?"

"Hm?" She looked at him curiously yet rubbed at her arms to get more warmth into the limbs which were slowly but surely seizing up.

Clark held his hands out to her, "Come on, you always wanted to fly; and I did promise you I'd take you if I ever learned the skill." He said remembering full well the promise he had given her. He watched as she instantly grinned, she stepped forwards and slipped her hands into his, only to laugh when he whipped them away and looped an arm under her legs and supported her shoulders with his other arm. The action happened so quickly she was left in a slight daze for a moment, he made sure she was comfortable in his arms before walking slowly forwards.

"You can't travel too fast." Annie said while he looked at her. "I can't travel at G-force. Not without a plane."

"Noted," Clark said with a nod, not that he was planning on travelling as quickly as he had been. He saw slight worry in Annie's face and realised that she just needed confirmation. "You might want to hold on, Annie." She reached up and placed a hand against his shoulder, he smiled and shook his head. "Tighter," he said, and she did so. He couldn't help but be reminded of the first time he ran with her on his back. She hadn't coped too well, she had almost fallen over as soon as she was back on solid ground; luckily, she seemed to deal with the jumping better, hopefully she'd cope with the flying just as good.

"You're not going to free-fall for a joke, are you?"

"Well...I wasn't going to, but now..."

"Clark!" Annie exclaimed and hit him on the shoulder before holding onto him tightly again. He laughed and shook his head, "Not funny!"

"It's a little funny."

"You're..."

"Yes?"

"Unbelievable." Annie said quietly while looking up at him with a smile. "You do know that, right? I mean it in a good way, you're unbelievably amazing..."

Clark merely smiled as he looked at her while she was talking. He was rather sure that she hadn't felt the slight shift as he took off from the ground with a simple push. He looked to the horizon and nodded, Annie looked away from him and jumped in his arms, her eyes widened as she looked at the horizon too. The sun was hiding behind soft yet wispy looking clouds, the light got weakened but the gentle yellow still shone out; it caused the sky in parts to bleed from orange to a pale pink, and the snow below was tinted an odd grey blue.

"It's beautiful." Annie whispered as she watched snowflakes get blown lifelessly about in the breeze which was present, she hadn't paid mind to the cold wind which was blowing against her face, mainly because the rest of her was warm and in his arms.
