Luke and I continued to text every single day, I spent most of my time either texting or calling him on Skype. I rarely left the house anymore, which meant I never saw my friends anymore. But since my birthday, they hadn't really bothered talking to me after my outburst anyway. They probably thought I was crazy or something. But in all honesty, I couldn't care less. I had Luke, and that's all I needed.
It was weird, knowing that he was practically famous, and I was just some girl. But he didn't make me feel like just any old girl, he made me feel special, and wanted. I checked the clock, it was 12 o'clock on the dot, which meant it was 9pm in Australia when I got my usual call.
"Hello, beautiful." Despite him complimenting my all the time, I could never quite get used to it, or believe me. It made me smile and blush, which apparently drove him crazy. He loved my smile.
"Hello, handsome. How was your day?" He went on to tell me that they had filmed a new video today, and he was in the middle of editing it. He sent me the file over Skype and I watched it. It was called "Awkward Elevator Situations" and I was in fits of laughter the whole time I watched it. Daniel, who they sometimes call Skip (don't ask, even they don't know) pretended he was scared to be inside the elevator. Beau and Luke were so hilarious together, I was glad I got to watch it before any other fan.
"I love it!" I laugh at him, finding it hard to speak or breath between laughter. I heard my mum call me from downstairs.
"Bailey, can I talk to you for a minute?" She shouted up the stairs. I sighed and rolled my eyes, twisting my face.
"I'll be back in like two minutes, promise?" I said to Luke, pouting to try and make him stay. He chuckled and promised he would stay. I skipped off downstairs, angry that my mum wanted to speak to me. She knew about Luke, obviously. He was all I could talk about. My entire family knew that 12 o'clock was Luke time. Not too early for me and not to late for him, it was the perfect time.
When I walked into the kitchen, she was standing over the island with her laptop in front of her, my dad stood beside her.
"What?" My mum shot me an angry glare and I quickly composed myself and tried again. "Yes mummy?" She smiled sarcastically at me and pointed towards the table for me to sit down.
"Am I in trouble?" I asked cautiously. What was so important that they had to tell me right now?
"No, sweetie, of course not. But me and your father were talking...and we thought..." She looked at him and he smiled.
"What? What's going on?" I pushed them for an answer.
"We thought, seeing as you did so well with your exams, that it would be a good idea to go on holiday." Great. My parents idea of "going on holiday" was taking the caravan down to the beach or something. Not an ideal summer, if you ask me.
"Where to this time?" A huge grin suddenly spread across her face and she spun the laptop round to face me. It took a while for my eyes to adjust to the screen before I could read what it said. I immediately stood up and I flung my arms in the air unexpectedly.
"This isn't a joke, is it? You're not lying to me, are you? Because that would be really, really mean." My dad put his arm around my mum and squeezed her tightly to his side, they were both grinning at me.
"Nope, it's real. The flight is booked for a week today. Are you excited?" I screamed happily. Excited? That was an understatement. I threw myself at my parents, wrapping my arms around them tightly.
"Thank you, thank you, thank you! I have to tell Luke!" I gasped and without another word, I sprinted upstairs. He was still there, waiting for me. I couldn't contain myself, my words all came out in one big slur. He looked at me confused but with a smirk.
"Say that again?" He asked. I took a deep breathe, trying to calm down. This was the greatest thing that could ever happen to me. And it was only going to get better. I nodded when I thought I was ready and squealed at him.
"I'm coming to Australia!"
