Kindred Spirits {Stiles Stilinski: Book Two}

Chapter 17

After the blackout, the police arrived, and we were brought in to be questioned. "So when did you get there?" Rafael questions. "At the same time." Stiles answers. "At the same time as who?" Rafael asks. "At the same time as me." Scott clarifies.

"By coincidence?" Rafael questions. "What do you mean by coincidence?" Stiles asks. "The two of you arrived at the same time. Was the a coincidence?" Rafael questions. "Is he asking me?" Stiles asks. "I think he's asking me." Scott states.

I've learned from early on, that I should stay out of these. They confuse me too much to play along. "I think he's asking both of you." Lydia says. "Okay, let me answer the questions. Let me ask the questions. Just so I have this absolutely clear. Barrow was hiding in the chemistry closet at the school. Someone left him a coded message to kill Kira. Then Barrow took Kira to a power substation and tied her up with the intent of electrocuting her, which blacked out the entire town." Rafael says.

"Sounds about right." Scott answers. "How did you know he'd take her to a power station?" Rafael questions. "Well because he was an electrical engineer. So where else would he take her?" Stiles asks. "That's one hell of a deduction Stiles." Rafael states.

"Yeah, what can I say? I take after my pops. He's in law enforcement." Stiles retorts. Sheriff Stilinski cracks a smile. "Stiles, just answer the man." Stilinski scolds. "What were the two of you doing?" Rafael asks. "Eating pizza." Scott answers. "Eating sushi." Kira contradicts.

They then switch their answers. "Eating sushi and pizza." They both say. "You believe this?" Rafael questions. "To be honest, I haven't believed a word Stiles has said since he learned how to speak. But I think these kids found themselves in the right place at the right time and that girl sitting there is very lucky for it." Stilinski states.

"Kira, is that how you remember it?" Rafael asks. He knows that Kira has been under our influence for the least amount of time, so he's more likely to get answers out of her. We all give her pleading looks. "Yes. Could I get my phone back now?" Kira questions.

"Sorry, but no. Kira, a deputy is going to take you home. But we'll need you to fill out some paperwork first." Rafael announces. We all exit the police station. "Who do you think left the message for Barrow?" I question.

"How would I know?" Stiles asks. "I just expected there to be a crazy theory brewing in the head of yours already." I answer. "This is one of the rare times where I actually have no clue." Stiles replies. "Dammit, I was looking forward to backing it up and then you being right later so we could prove that we're the superior couple." I whine.

"Maybe next time babe." Stiles says placing a short kiss on my lips. "Any theories about Kira?" I ask. "She's probably evil, more likely to murder people than not." Stiles says. "I'm on the fence about this one. She seemed genuinely surprised about what she did tonight." I argue.

"This wouldn't be the first time the bad guy acted like they knew nothing about the supernatural." Stiles says. "You make a good point." I reply. We drive back in silence. "Oh my God!" I shout. This causes Stiles to fall out of the car on his decent to his doorstep.

"What? What's wrong? Do I need to get my bat?" Stiles questions. "No. I just remembered that I have a whole five episodes of Supernatural to catch up on." I state. "Really Lia? You scared the crap out of me for Supernatural?" Stiles asks.

"What? It's a good show." I defend. He looks like he's about to choke me. A quickly kiss his lips. "Are you still mad at me?" I ask. "No." Stiles sighs. "Good." I reply with a smile. "I'm just gonna take a shower. Don't watch it without me." Stiles says. "Wouldn't dream of it." I state.

We never actually got to watching the show because I passed out on his bed. Stiles wok up too many times to count. We've gotten into the habit of counting fingers when he wakes up. It may seem like a burden, but I really don't mind.
