Kindred Spirits {Stiles Stilinski: Book Two}

Chapter 26

I take one more look at my friend's dead body and my hands ball into fists and my eyes flash yellow. Of course Void left after Allison killed one of the oni. Stiles hasn't come up with Lydia yet, so I go back to check on them.

I find Lydia sobbing into Stiles' shirt. She must have felt Allison's death. Stiles is unconscious, probably getting weaker every passing moment. "Lydia, you need to let me get Stiles some help." I say.

"How do I know I can trust you with him? You were so buddy buddy with the nogitsune minutes ago." Lydia accuses. "Look, I don't have time to explain this to you, but if there's one thing you can be sure of is that I would never hurt Stiles. I can assure you of that. Stiles doesn't look too good, at all." I state.

She reluctantly move out of my way and I drape Stiles' arm over my shoulder. I give him some of my blood in attempt to wake him up, it did nothing. I keep moving, hoping that maybe Kira's mother would know what to do.

"I've got you. Don't worry." I say more as assurance to myself than him. Once we get out of the tunnels, everyone is there. Derek, Chris, Kira, Scott, Isaac, Kira, Noshiko all seem frozen. "There's something wrong with Stiles!" I yell snapping everyone out of their daze.

I can't bring myself to look at Allison's body, it's not the time for grief. I have to keep going. "I might have something for him at my house." Noshiko states taking control of the situation.

At the Yukimura household, Noshiko gives Stiles some herbs that might make him temporarily better, or at least wake him up. It take at least 20 minutes for Stiles to wake up. "What happened?" Stiles questions.

"You scared the crap out of me, that's what happened. Stop doing that." Demand hugging him. He seems surprised at first, but then wraps his arms tightly around me. "Does that mean your humanity is back on?" Stiles asks.

"Yeah. Trying to focus on a few specifics to keep my mind off Allison." I answer. "Allison? What happened to Allison?" Stiles questions. My throat goes dry, he doesn't know. "During the fight at Oak Creek, one of oni stabbed her. She didn't make it." I choke out.

"Allison's dead? How did they even end up fighting the oni?" Stiles asks. "V- the nogitsune, took control of the oni." I explain. Stiles stares blankly while taking everything in. He stares at his hands a lot, almost like he's expecting Allison's blood to be on them.

His chemo signals come off as grief and guilt, probably the same as mine. All of the Yukimuras come back into the room. "Here, it'll calm you." Noshiko states handing Stiles a cup. "What is it?" Stiles asks. "Tea." Noshiko answers.

"Like magic tea?" Stiles questions. "No, chamomile tea. Drink it." Noshiko instructs. "He's not safe here." Mr. Yukimura states. "He's not safe anywhere." Noshiko says. "But Allison killed one of them. Doesn't that mean something? She killed an oni." Kira interjects.

"Is that even possible?" Mr. Yukimura questions. "I'm not sure how." Noshiko answers. "But she did it. She killed one of them." Kira argues. "Yeah and then they killed her. Allison's dead. Now I guess the only good thing is it looks like I'm dying too." Stiles admits.

I have to tell Stiles what I did, I'm not sure he's gonna like it. "He made a powerful move by splitting the two of you." Noshiko states. "So what's our move?" I ask. "At this point, you need a divine move." Mr. Yukimura says.

"What's that?" Kira questions. "In the game of Go, it's what we call a truly inspired, or out of the box move. The nogitsune has had sente, the advantage, until this point. What you need is a divine move in order to turn the game around." Mr. Yukimura explains.

"Okay so is anyone feeling divinely inspired?" Stiles asks. "Mom you said you trapped it in a glass jar right?" Kira questions. "It wasn't the jar that trapped it. It was where I buried it." Noshiko states. "The Nemeton." I reply.
