Football Game

The day has surprisingly been good. Brock didn't dare to bother Roman and I. Dean is starting to get better, he's been hanging around Roman and I more and actually wanting to go places. Dad, on the other hand, has been leaving the house a lot and not telling anyone where he's going. I hate when he does that, it means one of two things. One, he's trying to go back to work without having to hurt my feelings. Or even worst, he's seeing someone new. I highly doubt he's seeing someone new, he still loves Mom a lot.

Thinking of Mom, I realized her death anniversary is coming up next week. I felt myself growing depressed at the thought, but continued to watch Roman and Dean play their video games. I don't want to ruin their fun, I'll just keep quiet about how I'm feeling. Besides, I put them through enough, I don't get how they still like me. First it was when I had problems with Dad when I first started school. Then it was the whole situation with Ben and now it's because of Brock. I really don't get how my friends still love me, after all, I cause so many problems.

I sighed, causing Roman to pause the game and pull me into his lap before restarting the game. I blushed but laid my head against his chest, closing my eyes.

"Hey baby, you want to join Dean and I?" Roman asked and I shook my head.

"No I'm good, I'm just watching." I opened my eyes and looked at the screen, seeing Dean has beaten Roman in a wrestling game.

"Hey come on Seth, you and Roman could be a tag team. Be the gay power couple." Dean chuckled and I rolled my eyes.

"Why be the gay power couple in a video game? We're the gay power couple in real life." Roman wrapped his arms tighter around me, kissing my forehead.

Dean shrugged. "I thought it would be better in a video game. Like a lot cooler."

"Sorry bro, that's when you're wrong." Roman chuckled, causing me to smile a little.

Roman and Dean went back to play video games and I just watched them. I still really have a hard time wondering why Roman wants to be with me. I don't get what he sees in me. Roman did everything to make me happy but what did I do in return? Nothing. All I did was give him so much trouble.

"Hey babe, you ready for my football game tomorrow?" Roman asked to get me out of my thoughts.

I looked up at him and smiled. "Of course, I can't wait to watch you play." Roman smiled at me, blushing.

"You going to come Dean?" Roman asked.

"Yeah, I guess so. I want to see my best friend kick some ass." Dean chuckled and pats Roman's shoulder.

"And I will be kicking some ass." Roman chuckled, laying his chin on top of my head. "Hey babe, am I allowed to sleepover?"

I nodded. "Of course, my dad doesn't care anymore if you do."

"Good." Roman kissed the top of my head. "I kind of want to go to bed now, I want to be well rested for the game tomorrow."

"Alright baby, I want you to be well rested as well." I climbed off of his lap, standing off the floor. "You going to go to bed Dean or stay in here?"

"I'm going to find your dad and bug him." Dean shrugged as he stands up, shutting off the xbox one system. "Later lovebirds." Dean smirked as he walked out of the gaming room.

I chuckled and rolled my eyes, grabbing onto Roman's hand. Instead, he picks me up bridal style and carried me to my room. I giggled and held onto him, kissing at his cheek softly. Roman placed me down on my bed before just falling on top of me, holding my waist tightly.

"Oh baby." I giggled and kissed his head.

"Goodnight Sethie." Roman mumbled as he buried his face into my chest.

"Goodnight baby." I smiled and held him close to me before closing my eyes, slowly falling asleep.

The game is finally here and I'm in the locker room with Roman, helping him into his gear and motivating him to play the game like a supportive boyfriend would do. After Roman got his jersey on, he pecked my lips.

"Thanks for helping me babe." Roman grabbed a hair tie and pulled his hair back into a bun.

"No problem, I'll love to help you." I grabbed his cleats from his locker, setting them on the bench behind him before sitting next to his cleats. "How are you feeling? Nervous? Pumped up?"

"Both actually." Roman chuckled as he sat next to me, putting his cleats on. I rubbed his arm, kissing at his shoulder.

"You'll do great, my football star." I smiled and Roman looked at me, pecking my lips. I pecked his lips back before standing up and grabbing his helmet out of his locker.

"You're truly the best Seth, I couldn't have asked for anyone better than you." Roman stood up and wrapped his arms around my waist. I smiled and placed his helmet on his head, adjusting it to make it look straight.

"Don't even go there Roman, you're way better than I am." I grabbed his hand, giving it a light squeeze. "Be safe out there for me, okay baby?"

Roman nodded. "I'll be very safe for you baby." Roman hugged me tightly and I hugged him back tightly. "I'll see you after the game. I love you."

"I love you too." I smiled and blushed, watching Roman walk out of the locker room with the rest of his team.

I walked out after, walking out of the gym and to the football field, going to the bleachers where Dean, Dad and Roman's parents sat. I love Roman's parents, they're so sweet and loving. I think Roman's mother, Selena, adores me. She can't stop pinching my cheeks and telling me how perfect I am for Roman.

To get me out of my thoughts, the game has begun and I kept an eye out for Roman the whole game.

The game is almost over and our school is kicking ass! I could so see us winning and going to Washington D.C. for that big game. I'll be so very happy if we did, that would mean Roman is living that dream of his and I'll be so proud of him for making it that far.

Suddenly, Roman was thrown the football and just before he could start running, some huge guy ran into Roman hard, causing him to knock over and hit his head hard on the ground. I gasped, covering my mouth with my hands as I watched closely. Seeing Roman wasn't getting up and referees going to check on Roman, I got up and ran out into the field, pushing my way over to Roman and knelt down in front of him.

"Baby..." I frowned when Roman's eyes were closed and I went to shake him, but someone grabbed my wrist.

"Don't do that, you'll make it worst." I looked up to see Wade standing next to me. "Come on Seth, give the nurse some space." Wade pulled me off and I felt tears building up in my eyes as the school nurse called for someone to call an ambulance.

"Is he going to be okay?" I asked as Wade pats my shoulder, rubbing it softly.

"He hit his head pretty hard, kid." Coach Heyman said as I knelt next to Roman again, taking hold of his hand and rubbing my thumb softly over his knuckles.

When the ambulance arrived, Roman's parents encouraged me to ride with him while they met me there. Dad and Dean were also going to meet us at the hospital. I held Roman's hand the whole ride to the hospital, trying to not cry and remain strong for my boyfriend.

He's going to be okay I kept trying to repeat to myself in my head, but the thought of him being very hurt lingered my mind.
