Harry's p.o.v
she turns over and looks at me and says those damn words "we accept the love we think we deserve"
that's when it hits me.
marie thinks that hes the best she can get, that she deserves to be treated like that
when in reality she doesn't
i sit down on my bed and run my fingers through my hair
her arm was bloody, she couldn't really hide it from me
if her dad just kicked her out maybe her dad did that?
or maybe she made an excuse for Zac
but why would she have Jamie?
i sit there in deep thought and i totally forgot Jamie was next to me
i only notice when someone pokes my shoulder
"harry can i ask you something"
i look over and smile "sure. what is it?"
he bites his lip just like Marie does
"do you like my sister? like like her?"
i couldn't help but laugh then notice his expression is completely serious
"why the question"
he looks down and picks at his nails
"well shes dating someone not so good for her. like i heard her crying one time because of him. and he bullies me at school but she doesn't notice and he always threatens he would hurt her if i said anything. and I'm just scared. not for me but for her. and if you liked her, you could like protect her. my dad hits her too. one time they even talked about it as if it was funny and I'm only 12 so i don't stand a chance against any of them like you do"
i furrow my eyebrows as i look over at the door Marie could walk in at any moment
"keep it between you and me alright?"
he nods eagerly "i like your sister alot. and i would do anything for her. but every time i help her she shuts me out because she has Zac"
he smirks "i knew you liked her. and while we are telling secrets, I'm kinda gay. but please don't be weirded out"
i couldn't help but smile "well that's cool you should be proud and not let anyone tell you other wise"
he leans forward and wraps me in a hug "thank you. thanks so much"
i hear the door creek and Marie peeks in and smiles
Jamie pulls back "i was wondering if i could sleep in your sisters room. i saw the bed spread walking by and i just really want to"
"sure bud what ever you want"
he got up and ran out but whispered something to Marie before slipping away
"so i guess you guys are pales now huh?"
i shrug "i guess we are"
a huge boom of thunder rings through the house. Marie jumps and then her face turns red
"you alright?"
i hear a door and open and Jamie scream really loudly "shes scared of thunder!! she thinks its gonna get her"
her eyes go wide as she runs out of the room and after her brother
