I knew I was evil but I never thought I was capable of doing this.

I start shaking my hands, my legs, my body.

"ASHELY GET IT TO-FUCKING-GETHER YOU CAN'T LOSE IT NOW!" my mom screams while shaking me "You love August, you have to do anything and everything for the man you love."

This is what I grew up around this kind of talk and my mother doing anything and everything to please the men she "loved".

"Ashelyn Laura Brooks snap the fuck out of it. We're good. No one saw. We're good. You need to finish hacking the security cameras." she sat the laptop on my lap

She stops at a red light and dials a three digit number "Hello I just witnessed a murder..."

Mia

I open the door and don't hear her heartbeat thing beeping and her lying on the bed breathless. "Genesis?" I walk over to her bed side. I drop the food on her table "GENESIS?!"

She's gasping. I push the red button on the side of the bed and soon the blue eyed doctor comes in. He pulls out some rubber thing along with the static shocking things and two nurses follow in behind him.

"No." I hear her mumble

"Wait stop! SHE'S ALIVE!" They pause and put the tube over her mouth to help her breath. Now I need one to help me.

Once things settle down and the doctor and nurses leave and Genesis' breathing was stable. I sit up. "Gen you awake?"

She nods "Mia?" her voice sounds raspy and low but better than before

"Yeah?" I look up at her

"I don't know who. But somebody tried to kill me. So I played dead and pulled out the plug to the heart thing."

I stop for a minute. Did she say kill her? "I don't know who is was M but somebody tried to kill me." she starts crying "shit is personal now Mia. And i know you may not beileve me but I think it was Ashely."

"We should just check the cameras in the morning Genesis. I'm going to lock the door." I get up and walk towards the door

"Mia i read the journal. She admitted to everything and she knows I know everything. She burned your shit and now she's trying to get you kicked off I stood in her way so she's trying to get rid of me. M we gotta do something."

I hear knocking on the door. "It's the police open up." I look over at Genesis. She has a confused look plastered across her face and so do I.

"Do not try to run we have this room and the facility surrounded please come out with your hands up or we will be forced to take alternative methods."

"Genesis. What the hell is going on?"

She shrugs

The door bursts open and 4 men come inside in police suits. "Mia Asher?" they look towards me and I nod

"You are being arrested for the attempted murder of Genesis Athens."

"What?" I look back at Genesis I can see the fear in her eyes and I bet she could see the fear in mine. She try's to talk but there's no use no one can hear her over the commotion.

Im turned towards the wall and Im put in handcuffs.

"What is this?!"

"...you have the right to remain silent anything you say can and will be used against you in a court of law."

I decide to just be quiet. I know I didn't do this why waste my time.

I get a text from Mia's phone.

This is Genesis Mia just got arrested for something she didn't do.

That was enough for me. I hop in my car with Trey and Chris to drive to the police station closest to the hospital. I know Chris isn't very much invovled with her since those accusations but he overheard and wanted to go who am I to deny him?

I park in front of the station and see Mia being brought in.

"What the fuck is going on?!" I yell

"August?!" she screams looking at me a cop forcefully grabs her turning her back around

"Hey KEEP YOUR DAMN HANDS OFF OF HER!"
I try to charge towards him but Im pulled back by Trey

"Aug don't lose your head." Trey warns

A police woman makes her way over to us "Sir please refrain from-"

"Fuck that. She didn't do it!"

"You need to sit down." Trey and Chris take me back to the car

"August calm down before they arrest YOU."

It takes me a minute to cool down and once I do we go in and Mia's in a holding cell.

"What's going on?"

The first thing she addresses is the situation about Chris. "I apologize for thinking you stole my shit. I know who it was. Who got me in here and who's been plottin' on me."

"Who Mia?"

"Ashely."

"Not surprised." Chris says rolling his eyes hearing that name just makes me angrier

"She tried to kill Genesis tonight. That's why Im in here they think I did it."

"What?!" Trey shrieks

"She's good now. But after she told me everything about Ashely deleting the pictures of the journal out of her phone they-"

"What pictures?" Trey interupts

"Pictures of Ashley's journal with her admitting stuff."

"I have to go make sure she's alright but I'll see if I can recover the pictures, have them check the security camera's and clear your name."

We nod and Trey leaves out of the station.

It seems like we wait there the whole night for Trey to tell us what he's found and finally my phone rings.

"Speaker. " Chris says and I put it on speaker phone with all the commotion else where in the station I'm positive me and him where the only one's able to hear it.

"So I was able to get some detectives down here and the footage from the time Mia left and came back is gone. I also had no luck recovering the pictures but Ima' keep trying." I sigh

"Damn it. " I mumble

"Y'all gotta make Ashely admit it." Trey says

"Ooh I think I got a plan. " Chris says smirking

"Let's hear it." I say

"Well...."
