Chapter 7

I could feel Orion tense in my lap as I yelled. I held him a little closer to calm him down. Sophia looked at me with shame filled eyes but stayed silent for what felt like an eternity, she finally parted her lips but nothing came out. 2 or 3 more time and she finally spoke. "Chris I only want to know.... are you sorry for hurting him...or is it just something that's going to happen now?" remembering how it was I met Sophia I was even more ashamed of what I had done. Not only had I hurt the love of my life but I made my closest friend think that I may be turning out like her bastard of an ex-husband. After shaking off the stun I kept my eyes on the road but responded "it was an accident it will never happen again I swear on my life"

"Wake up half-breed" yelled Chester as he walked into the room. I opened my eyes only long enough to be slapped in the face, Andres' wince at the sound when unnoticed by everyone else in the room. You get one last beating before you leave and we get paid. He threw me to the ground and kicked me in the center of my chest repeatedly until I gasped for air " wow you really have gotten soft" another kick to my chest followed by him standing on my neck.

"You know what boys?" asked Chester.

"what?" replied Mark.

"I have an idea, why don't we take the kid?" Mark looked at Chester in an intrigued way.

"How do you even know he will show?"

"just trust me I know he'll show"

I listened  in horror, struggling to breathe out my words "please no don't hurt him" I wheeze out "he's only 6 you can't please".

Chester stares at me with cold eyes and stomps on my stomach forcing blood out of my mouth causing me to choke. He smiles and proceeds to stomp over and over relishing the sounds of my suffering as I nearly drown in my own blood.

Andre pushes passed Chester to turn me over as he can no longer stand to hear me suffer in this way. Chester looks at him with a question on his lips, but Andre thought quickly laughed and said "I know you are having a good time boss, but remember it's my job to keep you from accidentally killing him.

Chester laughed and said "haha man I guess I was getting a little carried away" as he pulled out a small pocket knife "how long do we have before Chris gets here?"

Mark checks his watch and replies "About ten minutes, why?"

"Good, mark hold him up for me" said Chester

Mark held me on my feet and my body fell limp against Chester as his knife pierced my chest.

"Alright Andre you carry him out to the ally, we have a deal to make" yelled Chester

I gave Orion to Sophia and we walked to the people who he know to be the scum who took his love from him and his anger flared as he saw their faces.

"Well isn't it nice to see you Chris",said Chester with a devilish smile across his lips.

" I have your money, Chester now where is he?"

Andre was holding him with a grim expression on his face and took a few steps forward so Chris could see him but stayed completely silent.

My heart skipped a beat when I saw him but nothing was worse than hearing Orions' voice when he saw his daddy bleeding, he pushed away from Sophia and ran for his daddy screaming.

"Daddy no you said you were ok....no!" he got near Andre and he took a knee bringing Martin closer to the ground "Orion baby I'm fine but run...run back to Chris hurry" I said in a weak voice but it was to late Chester had already grabbed him.

"Alright, now the money if you would." Smirked Chester

"What is this this isn't part of the deal, put him down now" Chris growled losing his control.

" Temper, temper Christopher I don't think you understand the delicate situation you are in, I have your child, and your lover. I hold all the cards, and based on the burns up his arms you can't control who you hurt with those powers."
