A Matter of Time (homestuck x reader)

Chapter 1

Hi, my name is (y/n) and I'm currently running away from a giant black blob scary thing! Well, so you can understand better, I'll start from the beginning... I was born on- not that far! Ugh! Fine... I have just turned 18 and finally got to move out of my mom's house. "Goodbye honey... I will miss you! Make sure to call!" My mom said as she squeezed me into a hug. My dad left us a few years back so it was just me and my mom after that. "Haha, I will.... I love you." I kiss her on the cheek as I throw my bags into the back on my car. "I love you too" she smiled and kissed my head. I smiled and got into my car and drove off slowly as I waved goodbye to her. Finally...adulthood. As I was driving over to my new house, I get a text from my best friend, Ashlee. Well, more specifically Pesterchum because come on.. Who uses regular texting stuff anyways? Pesterchum is where it's at!

She was always such a dork... But I still love her. I finally arrive at my new house about 30 minutes later and started to move things from my car to my house after unlocking the door. Apparently, I drop enough things to get someone's attention. "Hey, you need any help..?" I turn around to see a guy about my age that had blond hair, a shirt of a record looking thingy on it with a red jacket over it and pretty sick shades. Of course I said yes... "If you don't mind that would be great..." I said slightly focused on not dropping anything else to make a fool of myself. He nodded as I told him to go get some boxes from the trunk of my car and bring them in. It took about an hour to get everything inside and in its place. "Well thank you for helping me....?" "Dave,Dave Strider." I nod and give him my name. "(Y/n), (Y/n) (l/n). " After we introduced each other, we talked and goofed off for what seemed like hours until he finally said, "Hey, I should probably get going. I gotta work on some sick beats for work." "Oh ok.. I'll see you around then..." I said slightly disappointed that he had to leave so soon. He pointed over to the house across the street and gave me his number. "I live right there if you need anything. Here's my number in case of emergency or if you just wanna chill." "Oh! Well, thanks! I'll make sure to talk again soon!" God that sounded dumb... He waved goodbye and walked out of my house, closing the door behind him. Man, I think I'm going to like it here...
