"Well, well, who do we have here" someone in the alley outside the diner slurred.
As I turned around he grabbed the back of my thigh just below where my skirt sat.
"Let me go Erik!" I yelled at him pulling his arm off of me but instead he pushed me over.
"That's what you get for being a little slut!" he replied.
"Just leave me alone, I don't want anything to do with you anymore" I stood myself up.
Erik and his mate standing a bit further away just laughed at me.
"That's just too bad" Erik replied with a horrible grin on his face as his hands got closer to me.
"She told you to leave her alone" Cole pushed Erik down and hid me behind him.
How did he get here so fast?
"Don't you tell me what to do" Erik growled as he picked himself up.
"Don't, it's Cole" his mate held him back and scurried away.
"I'll get you Hartman" Erik cried once he was out of site.
"He seems nice, how did you get to me someone as lovely as him" Cole turned around spoke sarcastically.
"Thank you Cole" I mumbled I went straight back inside.
I guess it was lucky that Cole was here tonight.
"Your still here?" I hung my head.
"Yes, by the way you took forever" he dragged.
"Packing up a diner takes effort and a bit of time Cole" I replied as we walked out of the alley way.
"Oh is that what you do in there, I just thought you hung out with stingy people in the alley until the manager sent you home"
"You know that does include you right?" I asked.
"So how does Erik fit into the puzzle that is your life Archer?"
"Archer?"
"Yeah, first names are boring" he sighed.
"Let me guess, he's the crazed and jealous ex that just can't let you go and is infuriated by the, and I quote, 'gorgeous young man' that he has just seen you with" he spoke dramatically.
"Er, you got a bit carried away there but something like that. He really liked me for a while and I thought I liked him too but he was too pushy and controlling so I took it back in three days. He wasn't happy with this so he's been bugging for months with messages trying to talk to me again. Now he has resorted to calling me names of whatever he does" I explained.
"Wow, you have a heart of stone" he whistled.
"No, I just couldn't stand lying anymore. It could have been worse if I had left it and pretended" I defended myself.
"Speaking of being cold hearted, when are you going to tell everyone what you know about my job, you'll be free of me telling you what to do. I know you're dragging this out just to mess with me but this has gone on for too long, when will you stop taunting me with this!" I pleaded.
He moved his face closer, inched away from mine.
"Never" he laughed as I could feel the heat rising to my cheeks.
"Cole!" I stomped my foot.
"Relax, I know what you told me was true"
"How?"
"Your co-captain, Josh. He's not very good at keeping secrets"
"So then why haven't you left me alone, you said if it was good enough you would keep it to yourself" I asked.
"Because, this is my secret entertainment" he smirked.
