Your fingers traced the wall, your feet stumbling as they tried to coordinate themselves. It was almost pitch black and the entire manor quaked beneath you, warning you of the others sleeping in the house. Being stuck in that room for so many days was taking its tolls, you need fresh air and breeze.

"Millady?" You froze, swallowed thickly and then turned to face the figure of Sebastian in whom held a single candle in his gloved hand; despite how late it was he was fully dressed.

"I-I was just-" You tried to think of an excuse but nothing came to mind, you doubted lying would have worked anyway, Sebastian was talented in reading others and you were no exception.

"I.. I was going outside."

He stared for a moment, his lips parted as though reluctant to say what he was about to. "Shall I accompany you?"

Your eyes lit up and a smile lit up your deadly pale features. Nodding your head, you continued on your way to the garden. Silently both of you and Sebastian made your way down the stairwell and finally when you were exposed to the blistering fresh breeze you stood there and took in all it had to offer. Sebastian didn't say anything and instead watched as the flame of his candle died and left the both of you in the darkness.

You didn't care, in the dark you couldn't gaze at your sickly form or see the terror slowly invading Ciel's mismatched orbs. You wrapped your arms around yourself at the reminder of such sad eyes and sighed deeply. Sebastian looked at you then.

"My Lady?"

"This is lovely."

The raven haired man raised his brow at the figured of the (h/c) hair girl, watched as she hung her head, her (h/l) strands rushing off to join the swift breeze.

"The air. The garden, although I can barely see, it makes me feel better. It makes me forget."

Sebastian furrowed his brows, he wasn't good with human emotions and it was rare that someone opened themselves up to him so for the first time in a while he wasn't exactly sure what to do so he decided on simply listening.

"Being in that room, this sickness is everywhere. It clings to the walls and the roof and even the blankets are dirty. I'm covered in it and it's so real that I can almost feel it slither around me. But out here I feel free. The breeze washes it all away."

Your voice broke but it was far to dark for Sebastian to see your face.

"Am I going to die, Sebastian? I feel as though you are the only one who will be honest to me." Your nails dug into your slender arms as you awaited the butler's answer.

Sebastian heaved a large sigh before tilting his head back, staring up at the moonless night.

"I think you are, My Lady."

You took in his words slowly before slowly nodding your head, your hidden tears trembling against your pale cheeks.

"I have seen many peoples die, (Y/N). From murder or illness. I have watched the life drain out of them so quickly that if I were to blink I would have missed it. But with you it's different, it's like their deaths all over again but played much slower so I can watch it over time. I can see your life slowly seeping out of you and I believe that sooner or later there will be no more life at all."

You lick your lips and the salty taste of your tears cause you to cringe. Despite the bitter feeling embracing your aching heart, you smile, it's small and it's heartbreakingly sad.

"That's exactly what it feels like. Each day a little bit of me leaves and I can feel it. The empty space. I'm too tired to even be scared."

"There's no need to be scared of death, My Lady. It comes for everybody. It just so happens that it is coming for you earlier than you anticipated."
