Kelli's POV

It's been a long year and a half since I left the little old' town in Indiana, it's been a year and a half since high school ended, and the last time I've seen all my friends.

Life overall has been good for me, I've gotten a job as an assistant to one of Abercrombie and Fitches' designers, school has been going phenomenally, and my roommates are the bomb. Khylin and Rachel are two very funny people and I've grown to have a special bond with them. Khylin has found himself a job at Starbucks, where he has met his lovable boyfriend Connor. They are so cute together. Rachel is well... she's working on becoming a star on Broadway; she has the typical story about leaving home to come to the big city.

We lived in a three bedroom apartment and we all split rent, and each of us has a set of bills to pay.

"Hey chick, I brought you some tea." I was currently sick with the flu. Which I haven't had in such a long time, and it impacted me hard. The first day I was puking and had a high fever, I couldn't breathe, and my throat felt like it was going to burn off. But now it was day three of my sickness and my fever broke, but the runny nose and sore throat weren't fading. I smiled and took the cup from Rachel's hands and taking a sip, letting the warm liquid soothe my throat.
"You are a life saver." She smiled and sat on my bed,
"I know."
"So how are you supposed to get on your flight?" She asked. I was supposed to be flying back to Indiana for Kirra and Cody's wedding, but my cold was stopping me. I had saved up all my vacation time for this, I had taken a month off of work, but of course I was given work to do over this little break. At least I was getting paid for it though.

"I'll make it, whether I may die, I will help my sister with her wedding." I say. Kirra was disappointed when she heard me on the phone three days ago, she insisted for me not to come, but how can I miss my only siblings wedding? Never.  Rachel stood up and stretched,
"Well at least you are already packed." She tossed her golden hair over her shoulder, "I'm going to miss you. I would give you a hug... but I have an audition tomorrow, and I do not want to be sick for that." I rolled my eyes and smiled,
"I see the love." She winked and headed out the room. I set the tea down on my nightstand and grabbed my cell phone dialling my sister's number.

"Sissy!" Kirra yelled through the phone.
"Are you feeling any better?" She asked. I smiled,
"I'm feeling a little better, and my flight leaves at noon tomorrow, so you better be at the airport when I get there." I say. She chuckled,
"I will. How's everything?" We talk about four times a week, but we always have something new to say to each other.
"Good, good, I mean, Khylin and Connor are coming with me‐"
,Really?! That's so great!" She yelled. I pulled the phone away from my ear,
"Geez, it's like you're going to come through the phone." She muttered a sorry,
"How's everyone doing there?" I asked. Billy and I really haven't talked throughout the time I have been gone. He calls me once and a while, but it's only for about five minutes. Our conversations tend to become boring and awkward.

I honestly don't know what we are anymore, a few months ago we were celebrating our one year, through Skype, and now we barely talk.
"Well... there is a surprise for you when you get here and um, Billy, he well... he's kind of talking‐ Cody I'm coming! I have to go Kel; I think Cody just exploded something in the kitchen." The loud buzzing sound came from the other side of the line and the call was ended. I sighed and placed my phone down.
