~Prod~
Me and Jamie did move into together and things are working out good. She's gotten more comfortable around me and we act like a real family but I don't think we're anywhere near being a couple.
I don't mind that we're not a couple but I wish she would talk to me and consider it but every time I bring it up, she just changes the subject and ignores it.
Right now I'm up making breakfast for me and Jamie and I know Destiny will eat too, so she's in her highchair eating cheeros to keep her from fussing.
Destiny-Dada
I paused and looked back at Destiny, who was holding a cheero up her mouth and looking at me.
Me-What did you say baby girl?
Destiny-Dada
Me-Did my baby say her first word?
She slammed her hands on the chair and laughed. I walked over to her and kissed her cheek. She smiled and laughed.
I walked back over to the stove and continued to cook. I heard footsteps walk into the kitchen. I looked over to find Jamie in her pajamas still and her hair was in a sloppy bun.
Me-Good morning
Jamie-Morning
Me-How did you sleep?
Jamie-Good
Destiny-Mama
Jamie stopped and looked at Destiny, then she walked over to her and took her out of the highchair and kissed her.
Jamie-Momma's you said your first word
Destiny-Dada
I smiled when she said that and honestly I wanted to tell Jamie that her first word was "Dada" but I didn't want to ruin this moment for her.
Jamie-Baby she said her first word aren't you happy?
Me-Did you just call me "baby"?
She stopped and put Destiny down in the highchair.
Jamie-I didn't mean too. Just so used to calling you that
Me-Ok
I just turned back to breakfast and it got really silent.
Jamie-So that's it? Ok?
Me-What do you want me to say Jamie? We're not together and you don't want to talk about it, so I would really like to know what you want me to say?
Jamie-I guess I don't know what I want you to say
Me-Then don't ask me a dumb question like that
I turn the stove off and set up the table. As we were eating, Jamie wouldn't eat or stop glancing at me.
I was getting frustrated, so I threw my fork down and looked at her. She sorta jumped and looked at me with widened eyes, like I was gonna hit her.
Me-Ok I'm done
Jamie-What are you talking about?
Me-You're playing with your food and not eating and glaring at me. Why? What's on your mind? Tell me so I can eat without eyes burning a hole in my head
Jamie-I really don't know what you're talking about
Me-Ok fine
I got up, cleaned my plate, then took Destiny out of the highchair and went upstairs to get ready for my day.
