Chapter 17 Not Now

~Three Months Later~

I woke up with a smile on my face. I am going to propose today. Why? Because this is the love of my life and I want to be with her for the rest of my life.

I know I've been a big asshole about the whole "she's not pregnant with my baby thing" but I don't want to fuss and fight no more and I don't want to be away from her anymore.

I want to raise our family together, just me, her, and our babies. So I invited our friends over and I made her a nice breakfast.

She came down stairs with the baby in her tummy and sleep on her eyes. When she stopped rubbing her eyes she saw everyone standing there with smiles on their faces. Well except for Jamila because she still fucking hates me. Ehhh so what.

She placed her hand on her stomach and smiled widely.

Ciara-Baby what is all of this?

I didn't say anything to her. I just smiled widely as I watched Jalisa and Kiara go over to her and bring her down the rest of the stairs.

They brought her over to the couch and sat her down. I walked over to her with the same smile on my face.

Me-Morning baby

Ciara-What did you do?

Me-Nothing but I do have something to ask you

Ciara-Well make it quick because me and this baby are hungry

Me-Ok well I asked everyone to come here because I need everyone to be my witness in this question.

Ciara-Me and this baby aren't getting any less hungry here

Me-Ciara me and you have been through so much and as you know I love you. I also want to address that this baby that's on the way is gonna be loved just as much as my own children

I got down one knee and pulled out the ring I got for her. She looked very shocked and not as excited as I thought she would be.

Me-Ciara LeAnn Simmons will you marry me?

She just sat still while everyone waited in anticipation for an answer. She looked at everyone then down at me again.

Ciara-Roc baby I'm sorry but no

I felt my heart stop. Did she really just say no to me? This is making me question her. Does she really love me? Does she want to be with me? I don't feel like I can do this.

Ciara-Baby look I'm sorry but I don't know how to be a wife and you know that

Me-But I also remember saying that you didn't know to be a mother and you saw how that worked out for you

Ciara-But I was scared to be a mother and I wasn't asked to be one either. I love our children to death but I am scared to be a wife and I have a choice this time and I choose not to do it right now. I'm sorry and I don't want you to think that I don't love you because I do very much but I can't do it right now. I can't be a wife right how

Me-Baby please ok just think about it. I know you're scared but you'll make a great wife. It's almost like we're married already and please I just want to be married to you

She just looked at me, then looked down.

Me-Look you can just plan and you can take as long as you want to with the date. I'm not evening saying that we have to get married so soon, I'm just saying that maybe we should be engaged and thinking about our future. Come on please say yes

Ciara-We don't have to do it so soon? I'll have as long as I want to plan?

Me-You can take as much time as you need baby. I just want you to wear the ring and tell me you'll marry me

She looked at me and smiled, then she held her hand out and got real excited real fast.

Ciara-Yes baby I'll marry you then

Me-You'll marry me?

Ciara-I'll marry you baby

I smiled and slid the ring onto her finger. She smiled widely and hugged me tightly. I pulled away and kissed her. I heard our friends cheering and clapping, then I heard the kids say their eww's.

We pulled away and looked at everyone. All the girls ran over to Ciara and hugged her, then the boys came over to me.

Diggy-You better not hurt my little sister again

Me-I won't man I promise. I can't do that to her anymore

She got out of the hug and looked at me. I couldn't help but get lost in a trance, then she came over to me and kissed me.

Ciara-I love you

Me-I love you more baby

Ciara-I love you most

Jamila-We get it now can we eat because a bitch is hungry

Jamie-Did you really ruin her proposal like that?

Prod-Well we can get it back and I don't want to steal anyone's thunder but....

He walked over to Jamie and got down on one knee and pulled out a ring.

Prod-Jamie will you marry me?

We all clapped and gathered around to congratulate them, then we ate because Ciara was hungry and testy.

Bleeding out on the floor of your house is not a fun thing to experience. I know you're thinking I deserve it, but there's a perfectly good explanation as to why I did what I did.
