Chapter 13 Secrets Hurt

Seeing Prod again hurt me so much cause it reminded me of what he did two years ago and to see him with another girl is worse.

As of right now I can't think about him cause I have to go see my baby girl Destiny. Yes I have a baby and the father would be Prod.

When I left I found out I was pregnant and nobody knows but me and my sister. I didn't bring her to Ciara's cause I didn't want anyone to know that I had a baby but right now she's at my mom's house, so that's where I'm going.

I understand that hiding his baby from him is wrong but how could I face him after everything that's happened?

I got to my mom's, then got out the car and went up to her door. I opened the door and saw my mom sitting on the couch playing with Destiny.

Diana-Hi Jamie. Look Destiny mommy's here

Me-Hi baby

I walked over to them and took Destiny. I kissed her on her cheek, then sat down and held her.

Diana-How are you?

Me-Ok I guess

Diana-You saw him didn't you?

Me-Yea he was at Ciara's with some other girl

Diana-You sound disappointed about that

Me-I just should've known that he wouldn't wait for me to forgive him or try to get me back someway somehow. I don't think our love was ever strong enough

Diana-Well do you still love him?

Me-Yea I do but I think it's over. I think it's just me and Destiny now. Isn't that right baby girl? Just you and me now?

???-It doesn't have to be

I looked back toward the kitchen and saw Prod standing there.

Me-What are you doing here?

Prod-I came here to find you so we could talk and you weren't at Ciara's so I knew you had to be here

Me-You need to leave

Diana-Jamie hear him out

Me-Do you know what he did to me mom?

Prod-Yea I told her everything and I told her I was willing to make it up to you if you'd let me

Me-Prod I don't think so

Prod-Look I know what I did to you is wrong but I want to make it right

Me-Prod I just don't think you can I mean what if we get into a argument or something happens and I get pissed at you, then go off and you hit me?

Prod-Baby that won't happen I swear to you, I just went off cause I never had someone slap me like that before and I know that's no excuse for what I did but I won't do it again

Me-I don't know that

Prod-Please Jamie I want us to be a family

I looked away as he tried to look in my eyes, then I looked back at him to find Destiny walking to him. He picked her up and kissed her cheek.

Me-My baby took her first steps

Prod-Those were her first steps?

Me-Yea

Prod-See now if we weren't together then I would've missed that and I may miss her first word

Me-I just don't know how I can believe you I mean in one day I found out you were cheating on me and you hit me

Prod-How bout this then me and you move in together but not get together just move in and see if we can at least live together and maybe along the line we can see if we can make our relationship work

I thought about it and maybe that wouldn't be a bad idea.

Prod-Please Jamie at least try for Destiny

I looked at her and smiled as she looked back at me and laughed.

Me-Ok we can try it for Destiny but what about the girl you were with

Prod-I told her I still had feelings for my ex

Me-Oh OK well umm what do you want to do?

Prod-I want to take you two out

Me-Where?

Prod-You'll see

The one thing about Prodigy is that he was always full of surprises. I said goodbye to my mom, then me and Prod left with Destiny.

(Prod)

I looked over at Jamie and she looked nervous. Like being with me was such a scary thing. Although I couldn't blame her after what happened but I hope she can get over it.

Me-Are you OK?

Jamie-Yea I'm OK

Me-I understand that you're not comfortable around me but you don't have lie about it

Jamie-What do you want from me? I mean you cheated then you hit me

Me-You don't have to remind me I was there

Jamie-Ok so why can't you understand?

Me-I do I truly do I just want you to believe that I changed and I won't do it again

Jamie-Well I need proof of that not just your word

Me-And you'll get the proof but until you get it can you relax a little

Jamie-Ok OK I'll relax

The rest of the ride quiet, then we pulled up to the park I always took her too. She looked at me and smiled cause this was our spot.

Jamie-You remembered

Me-How could I forget I mean this was our spot wasn't it

She looked at me and hugged me. I hugged her back, then she pulled away and looked Destiny.

Jamie-You ready to play momma's huh? You want to play?

Destiny started laughing and Jamie laughed with her. Jamie got out of the car, then got Destiny out the car. She walked with Destiny in her arms to the swings and I sat in the car and thought about how much I've missed her and how much I messed up.

I watched them for five more minutes when Jamie looked at me and waved me over to her. I got out of the car and went over to them.

Jamie-Say daddy push me

I went behind her and started to push her on the swing. She laughed and giggled as Jamie was smiling and talking to her. I smiled to myself as I stood here with my family and enjoyed my day.
