Jackie put her phone on silent, not wanting it to ring while she was in the chamber. She was the new comer on the block, the last thing she wanted to do was be the interruption during the swearing-in ceremony. Her mother will never let her hear the end of it.

"I do solemnly swear (or affirm) that I will support and defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign and domestic; that I will bear true faith and allegiance to the same; that I take this obligation freely, without any mental reservation or purpose of evasion; and that I will well and faithfully discharge the duties of the office on which I am about to enter: So help me God.*" Jackie recites with her fellow Senators who will start their new tenures for the next six years.

Jackie smiled as she felt like she did it. US Senator at the age of 30! Currently the youngest Senator in the house. Two records she has broken, youngest in history and the first woman to be elected in 20 years. Things were definitely looking good for her.

During the reception, the newly sworn-in Senators are to meet with the President. Jackie is a little nervous to meet him but isn't nervous to the point of fainting. But she did find it exciting and she thinks he is an attractive man. He is Mac's boss and he is married. From what she has heard from those that met him that he is charming and is a very nice man.

She knew he had entered the room when she heard the commotion at the chamber entrance. She looked over and there he was, in all his glory! He is even more handsome in person.

All the new Senators lined up to shake the President's hand. Jackie knew that this is it.

He makes his way down the line, he gets to Jackie. "Mr. President, this is Senator Jacqueline Bouvier, representing New York," says Senate Majority Mike Mansfield.

Jack took one look at the young Senator and is blown away. "She's gorgeous," he thinks to himself. Jackie is wearing a sleeveless navy blue dress, with black heels, and her hair down.

"It's nice to meet you Senator Bouvier, congratulations," Jack says quickly not wanting to make things awkward.

"Thank you, Mr. President," Jackie replies in her soft voice.

He gives her his thousand-kilowatt smile before he is moved to meet the next Senator next to her.

After meeting all of them, Jack is ushered to have lunch with the Senate minority and majority leader.

All throughout the meeting, all he could think about is Jackie. All he knew is her name, where she was from, and that she is incredibly beautiful. Even though much wasn't said between them, he is simply swept away by her beauty. With the help of the internet, he can find out more about the stunning Senator from New York.

Later on that night...

Jackie had just gotten off the phone with Mac and was looking forward to attending the state dinner on Friday night. This week is very exciting for her. Not only was she sworn in as Senator from New York; but she is going to be socializing with the elite of Washington and the Queen of England at a State Dinner.

She went to Saks Fifth Avenue and brought a beautiful ivory gown with matching shoes. She sent Mac a picture of her gown, which he replied with two thumbs up and that she is going to look beautiful. Which brought a smile to her face.

Her mind also went back to earlier that day, when she had met the President during the swearing-in ceremony. For some reason, she still couldn't get him off her mind.

She did notice that he did give her a quick once over, or maybe that was just her imagination. Whatever it was she knew that she couldn't continue to stress over it. She had work to do, and worrying about the President of the United States checking her out wasn't one of them.

Jack is sitting in the Oval Office on his personal laptop looking up Senator Bouvier's biography. Checking the Senate website, he learns that she was born July 28, 1986, in Southampton, NY. Her parents are John and Janet Bouvier; she is the eldest of three children, a younger sister name Caroline Lee Bouvier, and brother John Vernou Bouvier IV.

She attended Ms. Porters for high school graduating at the top of her class; before going on to George Washington earning her degree in Political Science and French Literature. He is becoming impressed the more he read about Ms. Bouvier, especially when he read her congressional record.

After closing out his browser, Jack closes his Macbook sat back in his chair before taking another puff of his cigar.

What was it about her that intrigued him to the point where he couldn't get her off his mind? He only said if ten words to the woman. Maybe it was her eyes; they're deep and beautiful accented by her long dark brown hair. Maybe it was her soft sexy voice, the way she stared into his eyes to make him seem like the only man in the room that mattered. There was an air of mystery about her, and he found himself attracted like a moth to a flame.
