The past few months that have gone by have been tough on Jack and Jackie. Especially Jack now that he and Marilyn are now in court for their divorce.

The media storm has calmed but still, people were upset with their President for carrying on an affair, also for trying to leave his wife penniless as she claims.

Jackie finally was able to see her doctor; who confirmed that she is pregnant. She was having mixed feelings at first due to the fact she wasn't exactly ready to be a parent so soon. She wanted to be married, settled in her career before she bore a child. Most importantly she is pregnant by a married man; well soon to be divorced.

All she had to do now is just tell Jack that he is going to be a father. She is not sure how he is going to react. For one thing, she knew that it's not the best time for him especially with Marilyn playing the victim card.

Ugh! That horrible wench makes her skin crawl; especially how she is trying to make it seem like Jack is going to leave her penniless.

She is getting six million dollars, plus ten thousand dollars a month for spousal support until and if Marilyn remarries. She is going to be the opposite of penniless, and from what she said she is determined to get more of Jack's money if possible.

She began to spread a rumor that Jackie is sleeping with multiple members of the Democratic Party. A rumor that was quickly put to rest by the members that were accused and by Jackie herself.

Once that didn't work then Marilyn tries to paint her as a gold digger stealing away her husband. Despite the rumors Marilyn and those on her team tried to throw at her, thankfully there were some who didn't believe it and are on her side.

Some of her fellow Senators have been helpful during this stressful time, checking in on her to make sure that she is ok. Giving her advice on what to do and what not to do when it comes to the press. Of course, she has her own team to help her, but it's still nice that she had colleagues that cared.

Now she is sitting on her couch waiting for Jack to come over so she can tell him. She feels scared and knows that she can only hide her pregnancy for so long before people will notice. She can see the headlines now, "White House Mistress Pregnant."

Jackie is startled from her thoughts when her doorbell rang. She gets up and goes to the door to see Jack standing there with sunglasses on. Her heart started to race, and it feels like she has butterflies, or is it the baby moving.

She opened the door and he smiles at her. "Hello Gorgeous," he greets her before kissing her lips.

"Hi Jack," she replies looking down at her feet.

"What's wrong?" he asks walking past her taking his sunglasses off in the process.

"I have something very important to tell you, Jack," she replies looking down before looking into his eyes.

He looks at her and from the tone of her voice, he can tell that it's not good.

"What's a wrong sweetheart?" he asks taking her hand guiding her over to the couch.

"Well... lately I haven't been feeling like myself and last week I went to the doctor...

"And?..."

"Jack, I'm pregnant," she says looking at him.

He sits there not exactly sure how to react. He's happy that he is finally becoming a father, but the timing is not good.

Jack sits there in silence. Anxious for an answer Jackie presses him.

"Jack, do you have anything to say?"

He looks at Jackie and he kisses her lips passionately. After breaking off the kiss he smiles.

"That's wonderful sweetheart!"

Jackie smiles and lies her head on his shoulder.

"I'm so glad that you're happy, but what are we going to do?"

"Well, I'm not sure, to be honest. There is only so much time before we'll have to make a statement to the press. How many months are you?"

"I'm three months and a week," she replies.

"So it'll be a matter of time before you'll start showing?"

"Maybe, depends on different factors. I can't speak for months six through nine."

"This is wonderful, it would just be better if all this wasn't going on. I know that once Marilyn finds out she's really going to be out for blood. It shouldn't matter to her any way she already made it clear that she wasn't trying to start a family together." Jack says putting his head in his hands.

"Once all this is over do you just want to share custody?"

"Once this is all over I am be expecting us to be together, as a family," he replies taking her hand.

"Are you serious Jack?"

"I am. I love you, Jacqueline Bouvier," he replies.

"I love you too John Kennedy," Jackie replies.

Two days later after meeting with his lawyer Jack, has felt some relief with all that is going on. He told his lawyer about Jackie being pregnant. Michael gave him the best advice he could give and just told him to confess instead of hiding it in court. Jack did, and of course, Marilyn pretended to be hurt.

Without any surprises, the story is leaked to the press and they were in a frenzy again. Jack asked was it possible that Jackie could get some sort of protection since the press is camping outside of her home. Which the request is granted.

Later on that night Jack is standing outside smoking a cigar when he hears a familiar voice along with a not so familiar voice talking. Careful not to make his presence known, he walks quietly towards the Rose garden.

"So here is the news story. Now he's gotten her pregnant, and she's three months and a week. I can't believe he did this to me!" Marilyn says shaking her head.

"Mrs. Kennedy are you sure you want to give details about this story like you did when you first told us about your marriage?" Paul asks.

"Yes, besides I need the money!" Marilyn replied.

"According to our sources Mrs. Kennedy you're getting a pretty hefty sum of money from your husband?" Paul replies quickly.

"So what? I'm about to lose my husband to this woman, I need something to keep me warm at night. Besides by the time I'm done with him, he'll be lucky if he is still President."

After hearing that Jack is pissed. All he sees is red.

He quickly walks back to his office and calls his lawyer. He is going to tell him everything he heard and he is going to get Paul to join them in court.

He understood why Marilyn was hurt, he cheated on her and gotten another woman pregnant. Yet he wasn't using her for financial benefit. He at one point in time he genuinely loved her. He wanted their marriage to work; he wanted a family with her but she didn't share the same feelings.

What he couldn't understand is why she wants to wring him dry? To take everything that he has worked hard for away from him?

He knew he hurt her and he has apologized. Still, why did she want to see him penniless? All he can think about is how his family tried to warn him not long before he married her. He should have listened instead of being hard-headed.
